Confession Night [DubChaeng ft. Twice]

Dahyun x Chaeyoung ft. Twice

Twice has had this weird tradition since their debut.

It was called "The Confession Night."

It's the one night they have to spontaneously confess their hearts out or reveal their deepest darkest secrets without being interrupted by anyone. They'd each choose a confession partner, and they'd just talk and confess to each other until the night is over.

The rules are simple: you must answer every question thrown at you by your partner, and if you don't, you will suffer the penalty, as well as the wrath of God Jihyo.

They settled it before New Year's Eve so that each of them could get rid of any negativity that has been surrounding them. These kinds of events strengthened their connection more than ever, and they became one big dysfunctional family. However, unlike other members who are usually nervous about Confession Nights, Dahyun has been looking forward to it for weeks. It's the one night she gets to confront the person she's been in love with since trainee days.

Confession night usually begins at 8 p.m. and lasts until 12 a.m.

They couldn't sleep till Confession Night was through since the confessions kept coming, and they're all allowed to confess anything to their chosen partner.

It's 7:50 pm, and Jihyo is already preparing to give the go signal to everyone for tonight's tradition. She also made sure to remind everyone of the rules and penalties so that everyone was on the same page.

Except for Jihyo and Dahyun, who were currently in their living room, everyone had already gone to their own safe space to prepare for what's to come and what sort of unexpected news may be given this time.

"Dubu-yah, shouldn't you already be with your partner?" Jihyo questioned, her left brow furrowed in suspicion.

"Yeah, but I have other plans for tonight." Dahyun exhaled a sigh.

"Who's your partner?" 

"It's a little complicated, Unnie." Dahyun responded hesitantly, and Jihyo was about to say something when she realized it was already time.

"ATTENTION TWICE! CONFESSION NIGHT YEAR OF 2020 HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!!!" Jihyo yelled like a microphone as it echoed throughout every area of the dorm.

Jihyo turned to face Dahyun after finishing, but the tofu was nowhere to be seen...

[Maknae line's room]

Dahyun entered the room and noticed Chaeyoung pacing back and forth, clearly anxious. She made sure to shut the door as they both looked at each other as if it were the first time they'd ever seen each other.

"What exactly are you doing here? Have you seen Mina Unnie yet?" Chaeyoung asked as Dahyun pressed her against the wall.

"W-What are you doing?" Chaeyoung stammered, she wasn't afraid of the tofu, she was simply caught off guard and didn't know what to do.

"So, you enjoy the taste of strawberries? I mean, hickeys?" Dahyun asked, her eyes locked on the smaller girl.

"I-I won't answer that. You're not my partner, Mina Unni—

"I asked her if we could change partners, and she agreed. So it's just you and me now." Dahyun stated seriously.

Chaeyoung closed her eyes, internally cursing herself and Mina for setting her up.
