Joey peeked into Shawn's Garage, to see he was indeed the last to arrive...

He snuck in through the back as he watched Corey and shawn have a conversation and sat up at the drum kit without a word.

He had stayed home and drank quite a bit last night, his mind flickering to the conversation he and corey had, had at the bar. Corey seemed to genuine in wanting to support Joey, but as joey looked him up and down to see him in the exact same clothes as two nights ago, he wondered how genuine corey really was.

He was hungover and slightly angry at the fact he was late. But it was also his band so they couldnt really kick him out.

The other members were busy tuneing their instruments and chatting about what they got up to. No one had noticed Joey yet and he was grateful as he rubbed his temples to try sooth his hangover.

He looked back over at corey and shawn as corey chuckled happily. Joey couldnt help but stare. Corey never really looked what Joey would call happy. But then again Joey was cursed with resting bitch face.

Corey's dead eyes moved over to where Joey was as Joey looked away quickly.

"Joey? When did you get here?"

Shawn looked up too, raising a pierced eyebrow.

"Oh..uh...I've been here for a while now."

"Bullshit!" Corey said "shawn was on the kit like three minutes ago."

The rest of the band looked over.

"Sorry..." joey said "I was hungover.."

Chris giggled "you're not the only one."

Shawn glared at chris as Chris looked away at his custom kit.

Shawn didnt like it when people drunk before a practise. He couldnt give a shit about after, not even when someone was puking their guys out, but he hated it before. Shawn believed every practise should be perfect, and joey had a lot of admiration for that despite disagreeing, since right now all joey did was want to get drunk.

"Joey, dont be late again, got it?" Shawn said sternly

Joey went red "I didnt mean to over sleep. Can you all shut up about it now?"

Sid laughed "classic joey."

Corey raised an eyebrow at sid before looking at Joey. "So you know what you're doing?"

"Of course. I came up with them." Joey rolled his eyes

"Okay well, micks just getting his guitar in tune and then we'll start up."

Joey nodded sighing as he looked down at his hands.

He was still exhausted.

He felt a tap on his shoulder as he looked behind him.

"Itll be okay dude." Paul nodded

"Thanks..." Joey smiled softly

Paul was always comforting to him. Paul was his best friend, always there with him through thick and thin, he was never friends with Joey because his mom did slightly better than average, and he was never friends with Joey because Joey was easy to make fun of, he was friends with Joey because he actually cared about him. He loved paul, defiently loved him. He couldnt survive without him.

However...paul was getting close with corey too, and Joey did not like that one bit. Paul was a happy guy, who had the warmest hugs and could light up the whole room with a smile. Corey was a hound of death, who never gave anyone physical contact, and could make a room go silent by walking in.
