Chapter 8:

Joey looked up quickly as jim entered the garage. Jim was the only other person who hadnt come yet and now he was here that left one person hadnt arrived.

Joey cursed. Corey was never late, he wasnt! And Joey was starting to like corey a bit more. He felt safe when he was pulled into Corey's chest. He could see the sadness behind his eyes, corey wasnt going to betray him, corey was trust worthy. And Joey felt bad for being a jerk.

And corey was still never late. Joey sighed, maybe he had a hangover and over slept. But he didnt drink much with him. Okay, maybe he was giving a blowjob to someone. Joey found the fact Corey was so desperate for money sad. The world didnt revolve around it and Joey had just given him money. He also didnt like the fact corey felt like he had to. He looked up again hoping corey had arrived but still nothing.

Joey felt worried as he looked back up at the door, the path in front clear.

He sighed sadly as chris came up to him. "You alright joey?"

Joey smiled sadly "yeah I'm fine."

"I'm just worried about Corey..."

Chris looked like be was trying not to laugh as Joey felt instantly judged "why?"

"Well hes not here yet and the guys never late." Joey said frowning

Chris giggled "the Joey jordison is worried about corey Taylor?" He laughed "who are you and what have you done with Joey?"

"Dont say it like that! I'm really worried." Joey said looking down

Chris stopped laughing "for real?"

Joey nodded "for real."

"I thought you hated the guy?" Chris asked

"I never hated him Oh my god. I just, I got my heart broken recently Chris-"

"Oh yeah I'm sorry about Anders by the way." Chris said sympathetically.

"Oh great, he told you." Joey huffed

"Yeah..sorry joe." Chris said

Joey rolled his eyes "its whatever now isnt it?"

"But, you're right, he is usually early its defiently strange." Chris thought "maybe hes boning a girl."

Joey looked at him quickly feeling himself go pink "what makes you say that?"

Chris rolled his eyes "hes a good looking guy, hell even I can admit that, and like girls round here will do anything for attention."

"That's true..." Joey said looking away, he really hoped Corey was okay.

He felt something pang that maybe he wasnt. But tried to shrug it off. He was being paranoid. Surly?

Shawn sighed "come on let's just start I guess."

"We cant!" Joey protested

"Why not?" Shawn asks gently

"Corey's not here."

"I know." Shawn said "but maybe hes ill or something. I'm sure he is fine and if he turns up, he does and if he doesn't he doesn't." Shawn nodded
