"What's wrong?" Jim asked

Corey frowned as he screwed up the note jim had given up.

"No." Corey shook his head

"Oh come on corey."

"Jim...I cant just trust him." He said looking at the letter from Joey "I. He broke my trust. What if-"

"Hes not going to hurt you." Jim said quickly sensing where it was going.

Corey sighed "it's not as easy as just knowing that though."

"I suppose not."

Corey blinked "I feel quite...nauseous."

Jim looked up "are you okay?"

"I.." corey shook his head "I'm going to the shops."

"I thought you felt sick."

"No. I mean yes. I mean whatever." Corey shrugged getting up.

Jim sighed "want me to come with?"

"No. Need anything though?"

"Just some eggs really." Jim shrugged

Corey nodded as he stepped out into the rain yet again.

It was a rainy season.

And corey hated it.

He sighed as he trailed heavily to the supermarket.

All he needed was some eggs, and some pain relief for his head.

Maybe some alcohol jim didnt need to know about.

He felt the money in his pocket.

Maybe he could buy some coke and forget about all his problems.

No. He couldnt do that. Not now.

He looked up, as the rain fell on his face. It was quite refreshing.

He shivered into himself as he pulled his pack of cigarettes out.

He frowned. None left? What the fuck? Where did they all go?

He supposed due to the stress of Joey he was getting through more.

He stood still for a moment taking it in.

Why was he still here?

Why had none of his stupid pathetic attempts worked?

He looked down at his hands as the rain gently placed itself on his palms gently.

He thought to himself.

About the note.

The note Joey left.

It sounded genuine.

Joey had told him he was sorry. That he didnt know what to say because he was never close to someone like him. Joey's excuse was conditioning from his mother which corey believed but still.

He didnt understand why Joey thought he was lying?

All he ever wanted was support. Why did no one support him? Sure jim did and god he appreciated. But one person out of the whole world. Wow. That's nothing. And corey didnt mean it didnt mean nothing to him. But the whole thing it left him on the other side of the looking glass.

While everyone could have fun and relax his brain was screaming at him to panic.

It was like having a monkey on his shoulder screaming at every second in a high pitch all his impurities. Impossible to ignore.
