Chapter 23:

"I cant!" Corey shook his head "I cant do it."

"Come on." Joey said sweetly "she loves you."

Corey bit his lip "look at me. I'm well, I don't who'd want to see me?"

"As your boyfriend. I do." Joey said

Corey rolled his eyes "shut up."

"She'll love you!" Joey said

"She wont." Corey said

Joey took his hand as corey took a deep inhale "I'll be there." Joey said "I'll make it all okay."

Corey sighed "shes gonna hate me. I cant. I cant go. I cant do it. It's not gonna work i-"

Joey looked up at his boyfriend who looked an emotional wreck "she loves you. She said it herself."

Corey looked at Joey "I gave bandages on my wrists Joey! I dont think shes gonna look at me with love."

"She will." Joey assured

Corey it his lip "I'm sorry. God I am its just I'm so scared. What if my mothers there?"

"We'll deal with it." Joey said "you lived with your grandma. I'm sure she'll accept you right away."

"But-"

"My grandma would kill me just for loving you. Dont be ungrateful for yours!" Joey snapped

Corey flinched "...sorry." he said quietly

Joey sighed "I just want family who love me..you have that. I dont."

Corey sighed too "I dont. My grandma is the only one that does."

"Dont say that-"

"My dad fucked off before I was born." Corey shrugged "I never knew him. What he looks like, who he is, his name. Anything."

"But your-"

"My homophobic mom, who went around taking my to parties and spending the whole time drinking and doing drugs and then dating the most scummiest men in the world. Scummy men who beat her, who beat me and beat my sister." Corey said "my grandma is the only person in my family who showed me true love. True care and true hospitality."

Joey blinked "I didnt exactly know that. Why did they hurt you?"

"We were annoying kids." Corey sighed sadly looking down.

Joey looked at his worn out frame, and how Corey shook gently. He was clearly nervous.

"Look, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry that happened. But she, shell protect you from anything." Joey neared corey as corey looked down. Joey took a shaking hand. "I'm here for you."

Corey nodded but didnt even look up, he was distracted. Bringing everything up had him thinking, he didnt like thinking. His heart rate rose quite quickly. As he tried to calm himself down.

"Corey?"

"Mhmm?" Corey hummed biting his lip.

"We'll do something when we get back. We could watch a film? Order in? Do something."

Corey nodded finally looking at Joey with a small smile "that would be kinda nice."

Joey thought "can I ask a question?"

Corey nodded

"I don't mean to be like rude. But when are we going to have sex?"

Corey went bright red "what?"

"Well I'm attracted to you. And I hope you're attracted to me..so like?? I dont see why we shouldnt do it?"

Corey blinked quickly "I.. I mean yeah I guess. But like what?"
