Hello everyone!
I'm saddened to report that a user here on Wattpad has been stealing my story. Literally, word for word.
While this story is in the category fan fiction, meaning it's based on a book/movie/TV show, it's still my work. I wrote it. I poured hours into it. I worked hard to improve it as it followed its course, and I grew with it as a writer.
I have already reported this to Wattpad and hope they will act soon.
I get not paid for posting fan fiction or otherwise, but that doesn't mean some talentless, lazy douche can just steal my work.
I may not be a JK Rowling or Stephen King or Veronica Roth, but I at least piqued the interest of the people who read this story (and others I've published) cover to cover.
I think it's the lowest of acts to steal someone else's hard work, and relishing in its success.
That being said, I will act petty now, and bombard this user, Mikayla_Whitlock, who by the way didn't even bother to change the title, with messages: Thief.
