•Tom's Pov•
Haz paces the living room, having gone from extreme anger to having no clue what to say. He just needs to get his frustration out, and this will pass over. Hopefully..
"I just, I don't understand how this happened. Savannah doesn't even like you." He says.
"Ouch." I comment.
"You two hated each other and now you're fucking?! You're fucking my little sister?! That's so fucked up!" He says.
"It's more than that man.." I say. "Savannah and I have gotten closer."
Haz laughs, turning to me.
"So you're saying you like her now?" He asks.
"I mean.. yeah." I nod. "I'm not sure-"
"See! You're not sure. You're not sure if you like my sister yet you're screwing her. She gets attached so easily and you know this. You should have just stayed away from her." He says.
He's right. I did a fucked up thing. Savannah falls in love so quickly, and I should have known better than to get involved with her.
"I promise you I don't want to hurt her." I say.
"If you really don't want to hurt her, then end it." He says.
______
I stay up, waiting for Savannah to get home so we can talk, but as the hours pass and it's nearly midnight, I start to get worried. There's no reason she shouldn't be home now. I try calling her phone a couple times but it goes straight to voicemail. It's dead.
I have no reason to panic. She could be out at a bar or something trying to get her mind off all the drama.. but what if she's not?
I go onto snapchat, and look at the map to see her last location. Yes this may be a bit excessive, but I need to know she's okay.
Her location pops up at some random house across town, saying she was there three hours ago. So she must be okay.. or not, who knows where that is or who's house it is.
I should probably just go to sleep, but instead I find myself getting my car keys and heading out to find her. I figure out the general area of the house, and putting it on my google maps to find it. What am I doing? I'm not the kind of guy to go out searching for a girl in the middle of the night because I assume something could be wrong.
After about a fifteen minute drive, I pull up to a small house, seeing two cars in the driveway, one of which is Savannah's.
Is this a guys house?..
Only one way to find out.
I get out of my car, and walk up the driveway to the black car sitting next to Savannah's. My phone flashlight shines through the window as I look around the car, hoping to see something that tells me that it's not a guy. The car is clean.. no trace of who owns it.
"Tom?"
My eyes look up instantly, seeing Savannah standing across the driveway with a very confused look on her face.
"How'd you know I was out here?" I ask.
"Saw you through the window.." she says. "What are you doing here this late looking through Hannah's car windows?"
So she's just with Hannah.. that's a relief. Except now I have to explain this whole situation.
"I got worried about you." I say as I walk past the cars, over to her. "You didn't come home, you weren't answering your phone."
"My phone died." She shakes her head. "And that doesn't explain why you're here, looking through her car."
"I got so worried I checked your last snapchat location, drove here, and was trying to figure out who you were staying with." I answer honestly.
"So.. you do realize how crazy that sounds right?" She asks and I let out a small laugh.
"Yes. Believe me I realize." I nod. "But I can't help it, you make me crazy. I would never do this.. for anyone, but I couldn't just sit there and be worried about you all night and not do something."
I walk closer, taking her hand in mine to which she is slightly surprised, not use to this kind of contact from me.
"Haz had me convinced I needed to end this.. but I have to admit it wether it's the right thing to do or not.. I have to tell you how much I really like you because if I don't I'll regret it for the rest of my life." I say.
"But Haz-" she starts.
"Forget about Haz. I want to know how you feel. I want you to tell me what you want." I say.
"I want you, Tom." She says.
"Then you have me." I say. "I'm done with all the partying, and all the hookups, and all the bars. I'm done with it. I just want you."
"Really?" She asks, her face lighting up and a small smile spreading across her lips.
"Really." I say.
I pull her in by her waist, pressing my lips onto hers with the sole intention of showing her just how much she means to me. I don't think I've ever fallen for a girl like this. She means the world to me, and Haz is just going to have to understand that.
Our lips part, but we stay close, her breath hitting my face.
"I'm not going to hurt you darling.. I promise." I say.
She rests her head against my chest, wrapping her arms around me. My body freezes for a split second before tightly squeezing around her upper back. I've never hugged her, or any girl for that matter before. This is so foreign to me, I'm not use to someone showing that they care about me.
"How did this happen?" She says under her breath.
"I have no clue." I shake my head.
"I should get back inside.." she says, still not letting go of me.
"Doesn't seem like you want to." I laugh.
"Well I can't go home so.." she sighs. "I think Haz was serious about kicking me out."
"I'll take care of him. This will all be dealt with by tomorrow evening." I assure her, although I have no clue how I'm going to go back to Haz, who told us to end it, and say that we're in a relationship now. We basically just did the exact opposite of what he wanted, but this isn't his life. It's mine, and it's Savannah's, and we will do whatever we want.
