•Tom's Pov•
Classes today have dragged on way too long. I really just want to get back home and start looking at places with Savannah. We both decided to house hunt because we don't need four bedrooms for just the two of us, and the neighborhood isn't the best at the current place.
We haven't told anyone yet that we're moving in together, or that we're looking at different neighborhoods, but I think for the most part everyone will be supportive. Of course Haz will throw some type of temper tantrum as always. He doesn't like change. Especially when it involves his little sister.
"Hey can I talk to you for a second?" Travis asks as he walks up to me.
"Yeah what's up?" I ask.
"This is gonna sound a bit weird.." he starts as I pack up my laptop. "I'm wondering.. it's been what? 6 months since you and Savannah broke up?"
"Uhh yeah?.." I say, completely confused at what he's getting at.
"Well I was wondering if you'd be cool with me asking her out?" He asks, and I laugh.
He really is so fucking stupid. She doesn't even like him, and he knew I was still in love with her. Shows how much of a friend he is..
"Mate we're back together." I say.
"What? Since when?" He asks.
"Since a few days ago." I say. "Maybe you should get on tinder or something. Stop trying to get my girl. She doesn't want you."
I walk away, knowing that was a bit harsh but come on! Why the fuck is he thinking I'd be okay with that? Of course I wouldn't be cool with him dating Savannah.
As I walk down the hallway I see her standing with her group of friends talking and laughing. I'm happy to see she's engaging with everyone again.
She sees me, and says her goodbyes before walking over and greeting me with a kiss.
"How was your day?" She asks me as we walk out of the building.
"Good until Travis asked if he could ask you out." I say and her mouth drops.
"Did he really?" She asks.
"Yep, just came straight out with it, didn't even think twice." I laugh.
"Oh my god.. that's fucked up." She says. "That's like, betrayal of the bro code."
We get to my car, and I open the door for her. She gives me a funny look as I wait for her to get in.
"Who taught you to be a good boyfriend?" She asks.
What?" I laugh.
"You've never been a boyfriend before but you're perfect at it." She says.
"All in the romance movies, baby." I say, and she giggles, getting in the car.
It's true though, I'm pretty sure the only reason I know anything is from movies and social media. Although she teaches me how to be a better person every single day.
____
"This one?" I ask.
"No.. it doesn't have a nice yard." She says.
"Okay.. what about this one?" I ask.
"Small windows, not enough natural light." She shakes her head.
We've been looking at listings for at least thirty minuets and she has found something wrong with each and every one.
"Sav when we get married one day I will get you the perfect house, even if I have to build it myself, but for the love of god just pick a couple so I can make some phone calls." I say.
"Tom you and I both know you wouldn't be able to build a house. You're a business major." She laughs.
"Yeah well that just means I'll have money to hire someone to build your dream house, but for now just pick a damn house."
"Fine.. the blue one with the big bathroom, and the white one with the nice kitchen." She says.
"That wasn't so hard now was it?" I laugh.
"I'm just picky."
"Well you can't be that picky if you're dating me." I say.
"Yeah you're right." She nods.
I grab her, pulling her down to lay on top of me. She laughs lightly, making me smile.
"You're suppose to say no, and that you love me." I say.
"I do love you." She grins.
The evening passes, her body laying on top of mine as she twirls my hair in her fingers. I really could just fall asleep like this, she is my calm.
I can't help but wonder where we would be now had I not fucked everything up.. maybe we would already be in our own house, or we would have adopted a dog together, maybe we would have a tradition of watching love island in our pajamas every Thursday. So much could have happened over these past six months, but I didn't prioritize her. That's going to change. From now on our relationship is my number one priority because I just know, she's my fate.
I hear the front door open, and footsteps walking in.
"Ew get the fuck off him." I hear Haz say, and Hannah laughs.
"We're just snuggling!" Sav says, burying her face into my neck.
"Yeah and it's disgusting." He comments, pulling Sav off me, making her fall to the ground.
"You bitch!" She exclaims, jumping up and hitting Haz.
"Here we go." I mutter.
I sit up to watch the show of Savannah throwing punches at Haz which he successfully dodges. I roll my eyes, getting up and grabbing her in my arms to pull her away.
"Stop trying to fight people." I say.
"I'm allowed to fight him he's my brother!" She groans loudly. "He wasn't even suppose to be home tonight."
Her gaze moves over to Hannah, who is happily sitting in the reclining chair with an entire pack of Oreo cookies, half of them gone.
"I'm just chilling." She shrugs, shoving another Oreo into her mouth.
"Why'd you want the house to yourself hmm?" Haz asks.
"God don't you ever have any fun?" Sav asks.
"Yeah and it resulted in that." He says, pointing to Hannah.
"I'm just eating my cookies." She says.
"Well lucky for me I'm not dumb enough to get knocked up. No offense Hannah." Sav says.
"You're good, I was a little dumb." Hannah admits.
"Though we would make cute babies." I comment.
"Don't even fucking think about it." Haz warns.
"It's bound to happen sooner or later. I don't pull out." I say, and his eyes go wide.
"I'm going to kill you." Haz says, making all of us crack up laughing. We all know Haz couldn't take me, and it's funny when he acts like he can.
