anyone who knew tokoyami would say he was a very quiet person 

always keeping to himself and the barely said anything unless it was to say very dramatic monologues 

but that was simply his choice 

or so he thought that was his choice 

"here's your prescription sir," the pharmacist said as he gave tokoyami his medicine

"thank you" tokoyami uttered out as he grabbed the bag and began to walk home 

he had always been on medication since he was a child

he didn't know why 

his parents never actually gave him the reason 

he wondered what would happen if he were to NOT take them 

these were his thoughts as he walked back to the dorms 

and accidentally tripped on the edge of the sidewalk 

as he tripped he let go of his bag 

and his medicine rolled out of that bag and into a nearby drain 

"oh no" he uttered 

he would have to wait two more days to get a new one as he was going to be to busy to get more

the next days, however, seemed to be different to tokoyami 

he felt happy in a way more...excited 

he felt more relaxed and free 

for some reason, he began to laugh 

all  these new positive emotions seemed to be bubbling inside him  

he felt like running around the gym like a little kid 

which was exactly what he did 

with a smile on his face, he ran around the gym, sending darkshadow to fight of dummy "villains" 

darkshadow seemed to be easier to control now that he wasn't feeling so negative 

he could feel his classmates staring at him

he would have usually stopped in fear of being judged 

but he didn't care he continued running happily 

"hey! Do you guys want to fight right now? I'm feeling so pumped" tokoyami exclaimed happily 

his classmates were confused but didn't bother to question it 

tokoyami was so rarely happy so they didn't want him to be shut down 

tokoyami had never felt this happy in his life 

tokoyami wanted to feel like this forever 

he was never going to take those pills ever again 

no matter what 

no matter what his parent's teachers or classmates might say 

he was finally free

but a question still popped in his mind 

did he trip and spill the pills on accident 

or on purpose
