I forced a smile. I was dying to hear those words. I dreamt of making them see my worth but now, it feels nothing, empty.
Maybe because I know that they only see me because I achieve something. Maybe because I am already valued as LK Nikka. Maybe because my mind isn't working fine dahil sa nangyari kagabi? o dahil naalala ko kung ano ang ginawa ni Chester?
" If we can't win in this competition, Zse Academy would know how Mr. Jali kissed you ," banta niya saken bago kami nag compete. See? He knew I'm already mentally unstable yet, he still had the guts to blackmail me.
Since the day he saved me from Miss Clyde, ang laki na ng fandom niya rito sa Academy. Pero mas lumaki pa ito dahil sa milagrong ginawa niya ngayon. He just made the " Curse One " win the competition! They thought so.
" Ano bang ginawa mo? Napatino mo ata si Katherine," our teacher asked him. His eyes were fixed on me.
" Nothing sir. NAG - ARAL LANG NAMAN KAMI KAGABI," nginitian niya ako sabay kindat.
Inirapan ko na lang siya!
When the breaktime buzzer filled the classroom, I was the first to get out, saving myself from the wrath of the heartless geek.
" Hoy! kung makapaglakad ka parang iniiwasan mo ako."
I did not turn to look at him.
" We had a deal. We'll win this competition, and you're out of my life. Psssh ! Just to remind you, I'm not interested in competing against the other class. Bahala ka dun."
" Fine. Whatever your reason is. May pa sound effect ka pa dyan. haha . Let's not talk about that competition for now . Let's talk about HIM."
Just when I turned to face Chester, the sight of Zse approaching caught my attention. Urgency is written all over his calm face.
" Check your phones. I just receive news about Mr. Jali," he said.
Confused, I took off my phone and checked it. Nanginginig ang kamay ko sa nalaman.
"I-it's not true, is it? " I said stuttering as I saw the news flooded my notification.
Natamaan siya ng ligaw na bala. The bullet goes straight to his brain, causing his death.
" I don't know if I'll be happy or sad, but I'm quite sure that this shocked everybody," Chester said calmly.
It is an accident. But for some reason, I am not convinced.

" Anong meron sa kanya? " I asked Kim with my eyes fixated on the TV Screen.

Tssk. She's not Kim if she don't hate me.
Di ko na lang siya pinansin. I'm part of the group but they didn't assign anything for me to work on. Bahala sila. Ininom ko na lang ang juice.

I instantly check my phone.
