Friday
Kenzie
"Whyyy? I don't understand this at all!" I say with my hands in the air because my computer is being a pain in my ass today.
It's Friday and I've been in my office for two hours now trying to get my computer to work so I can do my inventory for this month. Every Friday I spend the day in my office doing paperwork, inventory etc. for the salon. Unfortunately I need my computer for all of this and it's giving me a hard time.
"Ughhhh!!!" I slam my hands down on my desk and walk to the mini fridge I have in the far corner. I grab a bottle of water and start to down it hoping it will cool my anger somehow.
*knock knock*
"Come in." I say a little more harsh than expected. " Sorry, what do you need?" I quickly say with an apologetic smile.
"Um, sweetheart, do you need to take a break for lunch? You seem stressed." Heather peeks her bright blue eyes and pink hair around the door when she opens it.
"No I'm fine, I just need my stupid computer to freakin' work!!" I say as I point to it like it's the plague.
"Can you please do me a favor then?" she says quietly.
"Yeah sure, what is it?" I ask with my head down in defeat because I know I'm not winning this fight with my computer.
"Can you please make a coffee run? It will give you a small break from your computer and maybe give you a minute to figure things out." she says with a small smile before adding a little more brightly.
"Besides we've been busy until now and us girls need fuel."
"Ok, yeah, sure." I tell her as I reach for my purse.
I get in my car and turn the radio up, since it's one of my favorites I'm hoping it cheers me up. I hear Ed Sheeran's "Put It All On Me" playing through the speakers as I turn out of the parking lot.
"Hey, baby we can dance slowly. My darlin' I'll be all you need. I know it hasn't been your day, your week, your week, your week. So put it all on me..woo.." I continue to jam out forgetting all about the problems I was just having a moment ago.
I pull into the cafe and put my phone in my purse before I get out. I walk in and like usual the smell of coffee hits me and I love it. I step in line and wait for my turn. Since us girls already know what we always want it makes it easier to order when I get up there.

"Hey Kenz, the usual?" my favorite barista, Evan says, with a wink. Ok, I know what you're thinking, he winked at me, and he's my favorite...no I don't have a thing for this guy and I'm pretty sure he doesn't see me that way too. He hangs out with us girls sometimes when we go out dancing."Well, yes but all five of us girls want our usuals today please. Thanks, Evan." I say with a big smile and pay him after he rings me up.
"Alright, here's your change, just have a seat. I'm sure it won't take too long for those coffees." he says while he hands me back my credit card.
"Thanks. I'll be right over here trying to destress my stressful day away." I say with a small laugh shaking my head at the same time.
Fifteen minutes later I see Evan walking up to me with the coffees. Hmm weird, usually he calls my name and I come get them from the counter.
"Soo, here you go!" he says with a nervous smile.
"Thanks Ev, I really appreciate it." I say with a big smile.
