5 days after the attack

I wake up hearing the sound of soft music playing from a distance. Once I finally opened my eyes I realized Trip isn't in bed with me so the music must be coming from the kitchen. When I stretch out I feel a piece of paper on the bed. I picked it up to read it.

K,
There are waffles and bacon waiting in the kitchen for you, My Love. :)

Love, T

Since we got home from the hospital the night of the attack Trip's been leaving me little notes all over the house with words of encouragement, some say different things he thinks are beautiful about me.

Others are cute little pictures he draws like one of us holding hands and my favorite is the one he drew of us sitting on a bench together when we're old and grey. That one made me cry the most because I didn't understand how he could even think that far ahead, like he knew something else I didn't know.

I already figured out the first thing he knew before me considering I don't know how I could ever love him more right now. I thought he was crazy when he'd say 'You'll love me one day.'

But he was telling the truth, I'm glad he was stubborn and never gave up on me. I walk into the kitchen smelling bacon and notice he's slightly moving to the beat of the music. I quietly sneak up behind him and start to grind up and down him then start rubbing our bums against each other to be silly. I hear him laugh then turn around to grab me.

"Ahhh." I scream then laugh when he throws me over his shoulder then places me on the counter.

"Good morning, love." he kisses me then buries his face in my neck where he always loves to go.

"You seem to like it there. I bet if it was possible to pitch a tent and live there, you would never leave." I laugh when I hear him growl then act like he's eating my neck.

"Ahhh...stop!" I laugh out while he tickles me. When he stops he breaths me in for a moment.

"If I could hold you and stay like this forever, I would be the happiest man in the world!" He pulled back and told me with the biggest smile on his face.

"Well, if all we do is stay like this and hold each other I may die of sexual frustration." We both laugh and I jump off the counter so we can eat.

We eat our breakfast and get ready for the day. After talking to Violet at the police station and knowing Brandon is locked away I decide it's safe enough to go out. I need to get out and not be so afraid of everyone and everything around me.

We packed a picnic for lunch, a blanket to sit on and a mystery box Trip thought he was hiding. I guess I'll find out what it is soon enough. The drive to this 'mystery place' was kind of exciting yet irritating because he wouldn't give me any hints as to where we were going.

"I told you, it's somewhere you can relax and get your mind off of everything that's happened recently." he looks at me when we come to a stop sign in the middle of nowhere on some random dirt road.

"Ok, fine. I guess I'm just a little nervous. I'm sorry." I say with my head down feeling bad for pushing him.

"Hey, don't be sorry. And what could you possibly be nervous about?" he looks at me worried.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just being silly." I shake my head and laugh it off. I don't want to tell him I seen the box and I'm worried he's about to propose.

We slow down once we get to a mailbox that looks like an old log cabin and has the name Alexander on it. I just look at him then back out the window not saying anything just yet. The driveway is long and has tall black iron street lights going down it, trees surrounding the entire estate. We get close enough and I see a giant log cabin that looks like the mailbox we just passed.
