Chapter 21- The Snowball Fight

It's Friday 17th December, the day before the Christmas ball. Everyone's really excited because the school term ends in two days. I'm quite scared to go home because my dad will be there, and I literally ran out on him without telling him where I went. All week people have been talking about the ball. I hope it's as good as it sounds.

The school day has just ended and I'm walking to the girls toilets on my own and suddenly Malfoy comes around the corner, alone too. "Ah Carter, where have your friends gone? They left you?" He teases.

"You're on your own too so I don't know what you're talking about" I say.

"Yeah but I chose to be on my own. Your friends definitely left you"

I sigh "Just move out the way because I'm trying to get to the girls bathroom"

As I start to walk past him, he grabs my arm and asks, "You going to that stupid ball tomorrow?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"Yes, but only because everyone else is going"

"Okay then. See you later" I walk quickly to the bathroom, so he doesn't talk to me again.

At 6pm Harry, Hermione, Ron, Neville, Seamus and I are all making snowmen. Hermione and I make a girl one and the boys make a boy one. "I can make them come to life for 30 seconds" Hermione brags as she does a spell. The snowmen start waving at us and I hug them because I think they look really cute. "Make them kiss" Ron suggests. "I can't make them kiss" Hermione says. We all look back at the snowmen and they start to kiss each other. We laugh as this looks so funny.

All of a sudden Malfoy and Goyle come over and Malfoy kicks the girl snowman over as Goyle kicks the boy one over. "Malfoy! They were alive!" Hermione screams.

"Does it look like I care?" Malfoy answers with a smirk.

"I hate you so much. You're so disrespectful all the time" I shout whilst I gather the snow to make a snowball and throw it directly in his face. He gasps and picks up a bigger one and lobs it at my boob. I shout "Ow!"

"Bet you enjoyed that, slut" he says, winding me up.

"Stop calling her a slut" Harry shouts whilst throwing a snow ball at Malfoy at full speed. He grunts and calls his mates over.

Before we know it, we're all in a really intense snowball fight. People are crowding round us to watch. Seamus throws one at someone in the crowd who gets annoyed, so everyone on the field has a massive snowball fight.

Three people hit Malfoy at the same time which clearly pisses him off because he gets his wand out. Oh no, this can't be good. He shouts a spell which makes snowballs form themselves and hits every single person, even his mates. They get irritated with him. 

He then does another spell which causes a massive snowball to form and hit Harry, making him fly across the field. He also makes loads of snowballs hit Ron in the stomach which causes him to throw up. Hermione grunts in anger and gets her wand out. 

"Hermione, no. It's not worth it" I shout. She ignores me and screams a spell which makes a snowball so powerful that it causes Malfoy to go flying straight into Hagrid.

"What's this all about?" Hagrid shouts.

"Hagrid!" Hermione runs towards Hagrid.

Harry, Ron and I follow after her.

"Hermione, what's happened?" Hagrid asks.

"I'm so sorry, he was hurting everyone"

"Liar!" Malfoy shouts, getting up off the floor "You're a liar, Granger"

"Oh, is that correct? Well, I have my witnesses" She says pointing at me, Ron and Harry.

"Maybe it's best if you go Malfoy, we'll keep it a secret, eh?" Hagrid says.

Malfoy huffs and walks back to the crowd.

I've never met Hagrid before, but he seems really nice. The others have seen him without me, but this is my first time meeting him.

We all head inside for dinner.

After dinner, we get back to our dorms and there's wrapping paper on our desk. We both have to wrap our presents up and place them in a box in the common room so it can be delivered to the right dorm by the morning.
