We go inside the train station with me pulling my suitcase along the floor. It isn't too busy. My mom takes me in between platform 9 and 10. "So which platform am I going on?" I ask.

"9 and ¾" she replies.

I laugh as I think she's joking, but by the expression on her face, I don't think she is. She tells me I have to run into the wall between 9 and 10. Is she having a laugh? What if I don't make it and I just face plant the wall? I'm scared. "I don't want to do this, mom. I want to go home. I want to go to a Muggle school" I say nervously.

"Don't be ridiculous. You'll have the time of your life there because I know I did, I'd do anything to go back. Just a warning, stay away from the Slytherins, and definitely don't date one. You have your phone anyway so call me on weekends if you need me, but don't be seen with it because you'll probably be expelled. And trust me, you'll regret that. Now off you go. I'm gonna miss you, darling. I love you."

"I love you too mom."

I take a deep breath. Here goes nothing. I run and magically go through the wall. Wow. Crazy.

I end up on a platform with loads of teenagers with cloaks on, so I decide to put mine on too. It's mental that I'm getting on the train like wtf. Yesterday I was a girl who wanted to leave everything behind and start a new life, but look at me now, wishing I were at home.

"The Hogwarts express will be leaving in 1 minute" says a voice on the speakers so I quickly get on board and start searching for a seat.

All the cabins are full except one which has two boys in it. I open the door nervously and form a faint smile as the boy's stare at me with open mouths. What are they doing? Weirdos. "Can I sit here?" I ask them, which snaps them out their daydream. "Yeah, sure" the one boy says in an Irish accent. I sit down and the other boy asks, "Are you the new girl?"

"Yeah. Only found out I was a witch last night" I answer which causes them both to laugh.

"My names Seamus Finnigan."

"And I'm Neville Longbottom. What's your name?"

The train starts moving.

Long bottom? What a weird surname.

"My names Jessa Carter."

"Nice to meet you" Seamus says nicely. I smile.

"Where's the other half of your skirt?" Neville jokingly asks.

We all laugh. "I was meant to get it in first year."

"What house do you think you'll be in?"

"Urm, I'm not sure. I'm hoping for Gryffindor because my mom was in that one."

"Oh, that's the house we're in. We'd be happy to welcome you" Seamus replies sweetly. Why are they being so nice?

I hear laughing coming from the corridor, so I look to see what's going on. There's a tall, white-haired boy walking past with a black guy. They are both very attractive, especially the white haired one. They walk past without even looking into our carriage.

"Who were they?" I ask the boys.

"Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini" Neville answers.

"Malfoy's the one with the white hair. You don't want to mess with him. Or any Slytherin. Especially Malfoy's brother, Mohoseph." Seamus warns.

"Yeah, Malfoy's been in competition with his brother all his life, trying to impress his dad, Lucius. But I guess we don't know the whole story because we're not friends with him" Neville states.

Oh. Guess I have to stay away from that one.

I end up having a nap on the train as I'm very tired.
