Jasmine's POV
When I got off the phone with Jungkook, I couldn't concentrate on the football game playing before me. Although my school's team is in the lead, I'm afraid that if I leave now, I'll miss a eyecatching touchdown.
Once Troy's game was over with them winning, I rushed out to the football field, crushing him with a hug. His eyes are teary and he is sucking onto his bottom lip, his tall frame slumps into the hug. This game is the first freshman football game of the season and a very important one too. His teammates were sprinting around screaming in joy.
Before leaving the game, I tell Troy that I'll be tutoring Jungkook and to my surprise, he gives me a genuine smile. It has been so long since he's looked at me like that.
"It's all good. The team and I are sleeping at Terrence's house today anyway," He responds.
I notify Brianna and Chelsea that I'll be leaving without them because I have somewhere to go. Of course, they respond with cheeky smiles and sly comments about how nothing is going to get done.
It's just tutoring and I'm already nervous about doing it. Am I wearing the right clothes? Should I bring food? What should we go over first? A million of questions are swarming my head, keeping it almost impossible to stay focused on the road. As I pass a Korean market, I'm hit with deja vu.
I head inside the small space and head straight to the snack aisle. I fill my arms with a pack of banana milk, choco pies, tteokbokki chips, and oreo flavored peppero sticks. Each corner I approach in the store makes me feel reminiscent. I feel like I've been here more times than a few.
"Jasmine! It feels like forever since I've see you come here. How's it been?" The older Asian woman asks while smiling widely at me.
"I-it's been okay. School started a month ago and I just got back from my brother's football game," I respond respectfully.
She nods her head and smiles. "I miss seeing you and that boy coming here every weekend. You guys really brightened my day."
I nod my head and return the smile. "What boy, would I often come with? Sorry if I'm acting brand new, it's just my memory isn't really there anymore since I got in an accident."
"That's right, sweety, you did get in an accident. I hope you're doing better," she says with concern. "But I am talking about Jungkook. You guys would always come in my store smiling, laughing, or teasing each other."
                              "Oh, really," I say.
"Mmmhh," she responds before handing me my bag of snacks.
"Well, speaking of Jungkook, I better get going because I'm tutoring him tonight. Goodnight Mrs--Kim," I respond to her smiling.
She smiles back. "Goodnight, Jasmine. I hope to see you two together again soon."
I nod my head to affirm her comment, not really knowing if that would happen. Everything that Mrs. Kim told me, just confused me even more. As far as I can recall, I've never met Jungkook before until a month ago.
I drive to Jungkook's house, Mrs. Kim's remarks filling my head. The gears in my brain are moving so fast it hurts.
I walk up to the familiar "Welcome" mat and ring the doorbell. Soon after, Jae-Sun opens the door for me with a wide smile on his face. He immediately greets me and says that Jungkook is working out. I look past Jae-Sun as I slip my shoes off and am met with a sweaty Jungkook --no, correction, a hot sweaty Jungkook.
I collapse to my knees in response to the gorgeousness that God has bestowed upon my eyes.
"Jasmine," he says with concern while rushing towards me.
