Jasmine's POV

Jungkook is less anxious now that it's been a month since the trial regarding Josh's crime. Josh has been incarcerated since that day and will not be out until he's 22 years old. His parents let me know that they already took care of the $12,000 fine, which I am sure was not hard for them to do, and that Josh will be ready for visits in March. They said that he's wishing not to see anyone because he's ashamed of his actions.

I respect his wishes, but I am concerned about his mental health. Josh doesn't cope with his emotions well. Now that he won't have access to alcohol, what will he do? Get his hands on drugs? Starve himself to death? I'm not saying that any of these coping mechanisms are good, I'm just worried that he will rely on them.

I haven't been telling Jungkook about the news Josh's parents have been telling me due to keeping his attention away from the trial. I know he is worried that it'll be revealed to the public that he was a witness at a trial, although he may never confess it.

With his attention away from the trial, he looks like he no longer holds his breath. When we went snow tubing that night, he was having fun and in a while, felt comfortable showing PDA. He giggled with me as we went down the snow hill and gave me many kisses although we had face masks on.

When we talked with cups of hot cocoa in our hands, his eyes lit up with warmth for the first time in a while. I don't ever what to see that warmth in his eyes disappear and I'll do anything to make sure that they will stay there.

I'm excited to see those warm eyes again today in person after 7 days of being away from him.

My phone plays "Paper Hearts" indicating that Jungkook is calling me.

"Hi, Kookie!" I say in an excited voice.

He chuckles.

"Hi, jagiya. How are you?" He says in a bright-sounding voice.

"Great, now that you have called me," I respond. "I'm glad to see you tomorrow."

"Yeahhh, about that, babe, my flight may be delayed to Wednesday due to a giant snowstorm coming to Minneapolis," he says.

"Can't you fly to Detroit?" I ask him.

"Unfortunately I can't, baby, I'm sorry," he says.

"Dang, how are we going to watch the Grammys together? And spend time on Valentine's Day! That's on Tuesday," I say in a disappointed tone.

"I know baby, we'll figure it out," he says in a sad voice.

"JASMINE!!!" Someone's deep voice yells.

"Who dat?" I ask.

"It's Taeeeeeee," I hear.

"Oh, Tae! I am so sorry. You and the rest of the boys sound similar on the phone. How are you?" I ask him.

Jungkook translates what I said to Tae and he responds in English.

"Good! We will win a Grammy!" He says in a cute voice.

"Yes! I believe you guys can," I say.

I hear his light giggle on the phone drown out with closing doors.

"Yyyyaaahhhhh!!! Jungkook!!!" Tae says.

I hear the sound of rapid padding footsteps and yelling in Korean. It's three minutes until I hear another door close and Jungkook's breathing reach the phone.

"I can never have alone time with you around them," he says while catching his breath.

I laugh at him.
