We made it back to my apartment in record breaking time, far more quicker than a train, even plane could ever take me.

I let go of him as he landed on my balcony. "My legs feel like jelly," I giggled. He held onto me so I could learn to walk again.

"Don't worry, I got you." I slid the door open, taking my shoes off as I walked into my living room. The clock from my kitchen read nine PM.

"Are you hungry? It's a little late for food, but I have have ice cream," I said, making my way to the freezer.

"Fine by me." He shrugged. I grabbed the carton of ice cream and two spoons. I set it on the coffee table, tossing him the remote as well.

"I'm gonna get changed real quick." I walked down the hallway to do so.

I came back out in a large sweatshirt, my hair hanging messily in my face. He had made himself comfortable with a blanket draping over his legs. I smiled as I felt sat close to him on the couch.
"You didn't pick a movie," I noticed.

He shrugged, leaning into me with the ice cream in hand. "I think you should pick tonight, you've had a long week."

He handed me the other spoon and remote. I scooped a spoonful of ice cream into my mouth as I clicked through the movie streaming browser. eventually I picked a zombie themed horror movie titled 'Train to Busan.' As the movie began I cuddled close to Hawks, he wrapped me up in the blanket with him, his wings brushing against my back.

Throughout the movie my positions changed from leaning my head on his shoulder, to eventually falling into his lap. Our bodies tangled together in a domesticated way while he stroked my hair. Nearing the end of the movie, I sniffled, blinking away the tears forming from my eyes.

"Are you crying?" He questioned with an airy chuckle.

"Don't laugh. It's really sad, okay." I felt his hand reach to my face, brushing away the tears. I let myself nuzzle my face into him, the way his hands felt on me were comforting. I didn't want this to end, I didn't want him to leave me. I tried pushing away the thoughts of us not being able to be together, I couldn't help but think about in the back of my mind that this couldn't last.

I might as well enjoy it while I have it.

The movie ended with me with me feeling drained and exhausted. I was ready for sleep, but I enjoyed being wrapped up in his arms too much to move.

"Let's get you ready for bed, okay kid."

I shook my head against him. "Mm mm, not tired."

He laughed quietly. "Sure you aren't, come on, up we go." I let my body weight fall on him, refusing to budge a single inch.

"Stubborn baby-bird aren't we? Guess I'll just have to carry you." I smiled knowing that I got what I wanted. He took me into the bathroom, setting me on the toilet seat while he handed me my toothbrush with toothpaste on it.

After my nightly routine was finished, I stuck my arms out for him to lift me back up. He shook his head with a chuckle. "So needy."

He turned my lights on, surprising me that he remembered how I didn't like the darkness, then he gently laid me in bed, covering me up with my blankets.

"Sweet dreams dove." He bent down kissing my forehead. I blushed at his actions, reaching out to him before he left.

"Wait, are you gonna come back tomorrow?"

He smiled with a nod, affirming, "Of course I will baby-bird, I'll come to see you any chance I get." I sent a smile back, sinking further into my bed. Watching him leave pained me, but that feeling was soon taken over by drifting off to sleep.
