The flight to Nagano was quick yet peaceful, we even flew past a flock of birds which I managed to take a picture of. Once landing on the ground near the entrance, I began feeling nervous.
"Hey um, what if people see us, because I think you said the public shouldn't know that we're like uh..." My train of thought disappeared. I knew that neither of us had ever gotten as close to someone like we did with each other, but we also never actually kissed or had sex.
"Well like I said, I think we'll be okay. No one around this area heard much of heroes because of the low crime rate, let's not worry. Tonight it's just you and me baby-bird." He smiled.
I beamed back at him, locking our arms together as we walked through all the stands the town had to offer. Smells flooded from all different directions as I took in the all the different options of food.
"See anything you like, because I definitely have my eye on something."
I let a giggle escape my lips. "Is it me?"
He looked to me like he wasn't expecting that. "Nice one kid!" We bumped our fists together, and he dragged me over to a booth.
"I think we should order a fuck ton of food-"
"A fuck ton?"
"Yes, a fuck ton of food," he chuckled. "And then we can find a nice field to sit in, away from others."
I nodded a response, allowing him to order what he wanted. As he stuffed the yakitori into his mouth, he sloppily said to me, "Open up." I did as he commanded, biting a piece of chicken off the stick.
"So what do you want to eat, because I'm buying tonight," he asked once he finished devouring two of his skewers already.
"Not my food." I bickered. "There's so many options, I don't know what to choose."
"Like I said let's just order whatever we want, I'm probably gonna go back for more of these guys." He moaned as he began shoving another skewer into his mouth. He took my hand and lead me to a food stand serving sushi. "I know you like sushi, you ordered it the first time we met."
I silently awed at the fact he remembered that, my face heated up with how warm he made me feel. I went to pull my cash out to hand to the worker, but before I could even open my wallet, Keigo was already paying with his own money.
He handed me the box of sushi and my chopsticks while I mewled at him quietly. "I told you not to pay for me."
"We're on a date dove, I'm paying," he grinned. A date. I've never been on one of those before. Being with him was so different than anyone I've experienced, I didn't just want sex from him, I wanted whatever this was to last.
I played with the hem of my sweatshirt, saying to myself, "Okay, a date."
He grabbed me by the hand as we went to different stands that served some of our favorite foods. We stopped at one of the market stands that were selling hand woven baskets and knit blankets, deciding to have a makeshift picnic by ourselves. I scoped out a small patch of land for us to settle down, while he paid for the items.
"See if you can toss it in my mouth," he challenged, handing me the rest of the yakitori he ordered.
"If you choke, I don't know how to save you," I laughed. Aiming the chicken towards his mouth, he lifted his head up to catch it.
"Do it again!" He cheered, still chewing. He was so goofy when we were alone, I loved seeing his playful side.
"Finish what's in your mouth first." As our food was nearly gone, I wondered how in the world he was still hungry after all we had eaten tonight. He opened up, signaling for me to toss another one his way.
