"Mmmm Yumi, are you sure you're okay to drive?" Theo slurred, falling onto me in the backseat.
"I cut myself off after three drinks so I would sober up enough, you and Haruki are the ones that need to rest. What did you guys even take? She pulled out of the parking lot, continuing to scold the three of us "(Y/n), I wouldn't be surprised if you woke up with memory loss tomorrow, you drank way more than I've ever seen a normal person drink."
"Jokes on you, my memory's already fucked." I groaned falling on top of Theo.
Yumiko was currently on her soapbox still, preaching about how she had to act like our parent. "If any one of you throw up in my car, you're walking home." She handed each of us a plastic bag, just to be safe. Out of Theo, Haruki and I, I was the least fucked up, obviously not including Yumi, who hardly drank anything. At some point during the night, the girl and boy wandered off for what had to be almost an hour, when they came back, their pupils were turned into saucers and they acted very euphoric and lovey towards Yumi and I.
I on the other hand, was cross-faded out of my mind. In the middle of dancing a few different blunts and joints were being passed around the crowd, which I gladly took many hits from, I had quite a bit of alcohol too. We stopped at the store before we arrived to sneak in a few bottles which we all shared throughout the night, and that was on top of the five vodka red-bulls I had already drank.
I knew I would definitely feel the effects once I woke up, god knows when that would be, as it was nearing four in the morning. We were all tired and I was ready to sleep forever.
We rolled up to my apartment. As Yumiko handed me my wallet and keys, she asked, "Do you need help inside at all (Y/n)?"
"Mmm huh? Nah man, I'll be- I'll be fine." I opened the car door, climbing out onto the ground. I let myself sit there and take off my boots before waving Yumiko off. Once I walked up the steps, I jabbed my key at the door, missing each time. "Open sesame," I whined, falling onto the floor in my apartment. I left my items there for the time being, my phone in hand, I stumbled to the couch. With a knit blanket covering me up, I was determined to sleep away my drunkenness, only to be interrupted by my ringtone going off.
Without looking at who was calling me, I sang into the speaker, "Who is it?"
"Dove are you okay, sorry, I just now got your messages." Who was I talking to? I looked at the caller ID, reading 'chicken nugget boy,' now knowing who was on the other line.
"Ooh, heyyy birdie. Mm, my chicken nugget."
"Goddamn (Y/n), how much did you drink tonight, and what were you doing at a rave?"
"Oh yeah!" I had texted him quite a bit throughout the night. "Oh my god, I was so nervous because of the people in such a tiny space, but then they passed around the weed which calmed me down, and I drank like... a bajillion vodka." I babbled on.
"Please, please, please tell me you didn't take anything but weed. You never know what some of that stuff could be cut with," he said back to me.
"Mm mm, just gas. Ooooh that reminds me! Haruki and Theo took some shit, and were wacked out the rest of the night, and Yumi had to act like our mom." I laughed loudly, dropping my phone into the floor. "Ah fuck, hold on a minute, I can't find you."
"Hey listen to me, I don't care that you go out and party, but I just want you to be safe about it," he scolded.
"Okay daddy." I grinned, remembering all the times he would tease me. Drunk me decided it was time for some payback. "I know you like that. Want me to call you more? I bet I can make you moan my name." My words would have sounded sexier if I wasn't wasted at the time.
