Queequeg
The connection between us is strong
I have been waiting for this love oh so long
Darling, I see you in a way no one else does
Only because my heart beats for your love
Some people think you a savage, a cannibal
But I feel like that theory is null
You are the most honest and sweetest guy that I know
I see your face and mine goes aglow
I've never felt like towards anyone before
You have opened up a brand new door
And I am ready to plunge into our romance
We will go out to dinner, drink some Starbuck's, we can dance
I just hope, my dearest Queequeg, that it's not too late
Before life take its toll as does your fate
I know that by this time this novel is over
Our love will be thwartedDon't die, Queequeg! I beg you, don't die!
What everyone says, the ending must be a lie.
You and I were meant to be
This will not end, I will not allow it to, don't you see?
I love you, Queequeg, like the moon loves the night
Don't die, come over and I will love you right.
I will always love you, Queequeg, no one can replace what we have
So please don't break my heart in half---
Author's Note:
Hey friends, thanks for reading this strange poem! Now some of you may be wondering "Who is Queequeg?" while others might be thinking "Why in the world is this queer child writing a love poem to Queequeg?" Well, let me enlighten you.Queequeg is a character in the (boring) novel, Moby Dick. I meant this poem as a bit of an inside joke. Honestly, I'm not in love with Queequeg. I do call him my bosom friend, though.
You know what, let's pretend that this poem and my weirdness never happened, lol.
Lots of love!
Ali xoxo
