Lies
It was a knot that held closure,
It was the pain that closed my sore.
Tighter and tighter it cut into me,
It hurt but this was how it was supposed to be.
All of these people who swore that they cared.
Where were they when I needed them?
Life is just not even the slightest bit fair.
I decided to close the pain on a whim.
I didn't wake up saying goodbye,
But a few minutes ago I swore that I wanted to die.
Just a little deeper...

This poem was noooooot, not, NOT based off of personal feelings, but more of an insight for a character in one of my novels. This is her poem- not mine. I just wanted to express that because I know that a lot of my poems are triggered from personal feelings in that moment.
