Fated||K

chapter seventeen

(warning: there are events of a panic attack in this chapter, so i just wanted to be safe and made sure you're all aware. okay enjoy!)

chloe decided to wait a few minutes and left the door unanswered, hoping that the men would get the memo and leave her alone. however, minutes went by and the men didn't seem to leave chloe alone, so she began feeling anxious.

the first thing she did was ring her manager even though it was out of working hours.

"manager jae," chloe spoke, her shaky voice telling jaehyung that something was wrong.

"is everything okay?"

"there are these two men in front of my house and they've been here for over ten minutes. they keep banging on the door and cat calling me, telling me to step outside and have fun," chloe explained, getting more anxious as time went by, "they won't leave."

"o-okay okay, don't worry. i'm heading over there right now. whatever you do, don't talk back. make sure all your doors are locked."

"wait! manager jaehy-"

"please stay on the call with me," she mumbled to herself, realizing that jaehyung hung up the call.

afraid that a panic attack was beginning to build up inside of her, she needed someone to communicate with her and the first person that came into mind was k.

"k?" chloe called out over the phone in a weak voice.

"i know. the two men are outside your place aren't they?" he asked.

chloe hummed in response, but it was a much harsher hum that called for help.

"i drove past their car while i was leaving and noticed that they were driving towards your place again, so i'm turning back around."

"please hurry. i think i'm having a panic attack."

"i'm trying my best angel. do you want me to stay on the phone?" k asked softly.

"please."

"yah! i know you can hear us!" the men exclaimed, scaring chloe.

"k-k, how much longer do you have?" she asked.

"i just drove into the gate. i'm almost there."

a few seconds later, chloe heard inaudible voices outside of her door and a knock.

"chloe?" k called out through the phone, "i'm right outside your door. can you let me in?"

chloe hurriedly walked over to her monitor to see the men gone and k standing in front of her door. she opened it and was immediately engulfed in k's arms.

she let out a soft whimper as k placed his chin on top of her head and caressed the back of her head.

"shh .. it's okay. you're going to be okay," k softly whispered.

"oh thank goodness you're okay," a voice spoke.

k turned his head around and saw jaehyung, not letting go of chloe as he felt chloe's arms tighten around his waist.

jaehyung motioned something, but k shook his head, telling jaehyung that it wasn't the best time to ask questions.

k stepped to the side with chloe still in his arms for jaehyung to enter the apartment and shut the door.

jaehyung walked into the kitchen to prepare some water for chloe, while chloe and k were still standing near the door.

"angel," k whispered, "can we walk over to the couch? you should sit down."

k felt chloe nod her head against his chest as she slowly began to let go.

the two walked over to the sofa and sat next to each other. k's arm was around chloe's shoulder, letting her lean into his body as he gently caressed her arm.

"here," jaehyung softly spoke, handing chloe a glass of water.

he took a seat on the cushioned chair across from the two and secretly admired how the two looked so comfortable with each other. they are truly soulmates indeed.

"i uh .." jaehyung cleared his throat, "who were those men?"

being curious as well, k turned his head and gave chloe all his attention.

chloe shrugged, "i don't know. i feel like i've seen them before, but i don't know who they are."

"when k dropped me off, they came out of a car and started talking to us, but then they left because of k. then when i went inside and k left, they came back a few minutes later," she explained.

"well i don't think it would be a good idea for you to stay here anymore if these men know you live here," jaehyung began, "we're definitely going to have to get you situated somewhere else."

"i know it's against a lot of rules, but my dorm is always open," k spoke.

it was silent for a good bit until jaehyung sighed and nodded, "hold on."

he stood up and walked into the kitchen, putting attention on his phone.

"how are you feeling?" k asked chloe, his voice going soft again.

chloe sat up straight and faced k, giving him a soft smile, "i'm definitely feeling much better. thank you for coming back."

"always," k smiled back.

"i just got off the phone with some people from both companies and told them about the situation. of course if k and his members don't mind, it's okay for chloe to stay there, but only until the company finds a new place for her," jaehyung explained.

chloe turned to k and asked, "are you sure it's okay? i can always go-"

k placed his hand on top of chloe's and shook his head, "you're more than welcomed to come stay at the dorms."
