chapter thirteen

standing in a back hug position, chloe stuck her head to the side of k's body to get a look at his face.

"not you telling me that i was a child, but are one yourself," chloe teased.

"i am not a child. you're the child," k defended.

"okay then i'll let go and return back home okay?" chloe asked playfully, beginning to unwrap her arms from k's waist.

in an instant, k turned around and wrapped his arms around chloe, making her freeze in position.

k placed his chin on top of chloe's head, one arm around her waist. his other hand was placed behind chloe's head, softly securing her head into his chest.

"stop threatening me with the 'i'm leaving' thing," k complained in a slight serious tone, making chloe laugh in his embrace.

"well it'd be quite hard for me to leave if you have me trapped in your arms, wouldn't it?" chloe asked with a smile, tilting her head up to make eye contact with k.

"i should've went with heeseung and sunghoon to the other dorm," k playfully sighed.

"tch .."

"hey .." k began softly, "this is our first hug."

"are you going to keep count of all the hugs we have?" chloe asked with a short laugh.

"are you going to come over more often?" k answered with a question.

"to cook or just to come over?" chloe smiled.

"maybe both?" k mumbled.

"if that's what you want," chloe laughed, "but if me coming over to cook is going to end up in you getting jealous and then us hugging and never finishing the dishes .. i don't know .."

k gasped and released his arms from chloe's body, "i did not get jealous. when did i get jealous?"

chloe leaned against the counter and folded her arms, shaking her head.

"you're unbelievable," chloe laughed, walking back to clean the table.

after cleaning up, k sat on the couch in the living room while chloe was standing by the counter, checking her phone.

"have you taken your medicine yet?" chloe asked, eyes still glued to her phone.

"no," k simply replied.

chloe cocked her neck to the side and shot k a death glare, "well you should. where do you keep the medicine?"

k stood up and walked into the kitchen, opening one of the cabinets that stored lots of medicine.

"k .." chloe breathed out, "that's a lot of medicine you got there."

"relax," k chuckled, "it's not all for me."

"but is all that medicine really necessary?" chloe asked, filling a glass cup with water and handing it to him.

"with the six kids? it comes in handy," k replied.

"kids?" chloe laughed.

k let out a hum as he signaled for chloe to follow him to the couch.

"let's watch something yea?" he asked.

"should i watch something with you or let you rest because you're sick? i think it's quite obvious that i should-"

"let you rest."

"watch a movie," k spoke at the same time as chloe.

"k," chloe laughed, "i think you should rest."

"but i already rested earlier," k whined, "i'm full of energy now, see?"

he stood up and began childishly swaying his body.

"yes i see," chloe chuckled, "but-"

"please watch something with me," k spoke softly with pleading eyes.

"okay, but you're definitely the child here," chloe smiled.

"i-"

"are we going to watch something or not?" chloe asked, k sighing in defeat.

halfway into the movie, k began falling asleep, his head leaning side to side which chloe found the cutest.

not wanting his neck to hurt, she stood up and walked into his room to get a blanket, going back into the living room to see k spread out on the couch.

"well it's about time for me to go anyways," chloe mumbled to herself, smiling as she put the blanket on top of k.

"where do you think you're going?" k sleepily mumbled, holding onto chloe's wrist.

"home?" chloe responded with a slight chuckle.

"but you just got here," he complained.

"i've been here for three hours, k," chloe laughed, "you're obviously tired, so you should go to sleep. i want you to get some sleep."

"it's dark out, so i should get going too," she stated.

"let me walk you out?" k asked, sitting up.

chloe hummed and followed k out, running into a group of boys. chloe assumed it was k's other members because she recognized heeseung and sunghoon out of the six boys.

"oh- you're leaving already?" heeseung asked.

"yea," chloe replied with a shy smile, "it's getting quite late."

"well the boys wanted to come over and thank you for the food," heeseung stated.

"oh yes," one of the other boys spoke, "we really enjoyed the food. it was delicious. thank you."

"oh no problem," chloe softly laughed, "i'm glad you all enjoyed it."

"chloe, these are the rest of my members. jay, jake, jungwon, and daniel," k introduced, "you already know heeseung and sunghoon."

chloe nodded and smiled even brighter at the boys, "well it's nice to meet you all."

"it's getting late, so i'll walk chloe to her car okay?"

all the boys nodded and greeted chloe goodbye before walking side by side with k to her car.

chloe unlocked her car and k opened the door for her, making chloe smile at him.

she slid into her car and started her engine.

"don't forget your seatbelt," k reminded, "when i shut the door, lock your car okay?"

"got it," chloe smiled.

"drive safely," k added before shutting the door.

chloe did as told and locked her doors, but didn't drive off. she dug in her purse for her phone and began typing something.

she watched k take his phone out from his pocket, brushing his hair with his fingers.

rest. see you tomorrow

k lifted his head and looked at chloe through her car window and smiled.

i'll go in once you leave

chloe nodded at k through her window and waved goodbye before driving off.
