Fated||K

chapter twelve

chloe spent a while in the boys' kitchen, cooking multiple plates of food. she thought it would be nice to cook for k's other members as well, so she made sure to cook plenty.

while cleaning up the kitchen and washing the dishes, chloe let k's food cool down a bit before placing it all on a tray and bringing it to his room.

chloe knocked quietly on the door, but received no response, so she balanced the tray on one arm and opened the door with the other, smiling at the sight of k sleeping.

it was something about the sight of k snuggled up in his covers that made chloe feel calm.

chloe placed the tray on the desk that was in the corner of k's room and bent down to pull k's covers up. she brushed the strands of hair that were in his eyes to the side and admired his face for a bit before stepping out of his room.

she went to the room next door and knocked on it, meeting eyes with one of the boys.

chloe shyly smiled, "uhm .. i'm sorry if i interrupted something, but i prepared food for you and your roommate. it's set on the table if you want to come out."

the boy's eyes lit up at the mention of food and smiled, showing his pearly white teeth, "really? thank you. i'll be out in a second. mind if i go get sunghoon?"

"of course. there's plenty of food," chloe smiled, remembering that sunghoon was the other roommate k mentioned.

she walked into the dining room where she met with the two boys. they all introduced themselves, heeseung and sunghoon complimenting and congratulating chloe on her debut.

"wahh- this is really good," heeseung muffled with food in his mouth.

"really? you like it?" chloe asked happily, "it was my first time making it, so i didn't know if it'd be good or not."

"noo, it's really tasty," heeseung smiled, giving two thumbs up.

"where'd you learn to cook like this?" sunghoon asked.

"youtube. lots and lots of youtube," chloe replied, "whenever i can, i teach myself how to cook, so that i don't get tired of eating the same thing over and over again."

"and living alone in such a big place could be really lonely, so teaching myself how to cook gives me something to do," she added.

"well you could come over here anytime and maybe teach us how to cook," sunghoon joked.

"aye .. she's probably got busy schedules right now," heeseung spoke.

"i wouldn't mind at all actually," chloe smiled, "i just wouldn't want to disturb your privacy."

"not at all," heeseung shook his head, "the only person that likes to have privacy is k."

"really?" chloe asked, shocked, "he seems very, i don't know, open when we're together."

"speaking of which," heeseung spoke, "are you two close?"

"i wouldn't say close, but we're definitely getting there. we have the collaboration stage coming up, so we're going to be spending a lot of time together," chloe replied.

"ahh right. i forgot about the collaboration stage. our group is supposed to be performing that day too," heeseung announced.

"really? you're going to be promoting soon?" chloe asked.

"it's just going to be a special stage," sunghoon answered.

"oh- k!" heeseung spoke, making all eyes turn to the hallway.

k was walking towards the table, while rubbing his eyes.

"oh- your food is in your room. you were sleeping when i brought it in there and i didn't want to wake you up. let me go get it," chloe began.

"no no. you can stay and eat. i'll go get it. thank you," k smiled, getting up.

"wah .." heeseung spoke quietly once k walked away, "he spoke so softly to you."

"you say that as if he doesn't speak softly to you guys," chloe chuckled, "the more i'm with him, the more i convince myself that he's born a soft speaker."

"leader k? speaking softly? that'd be a miracle," heeseung smiled, "he does speak softly, but he's always so serious. it's kind of scary."

chloe laughed at heeseung's last statement, but couldn't reply because k sat back down.

k and chloe sat next to each other, while heeseung and sunghoon sat on the other side of the table.

after a few minutes of eating, chloe stood up and walked into the kitchen to store the extra food in tupperware she found in the cabinets.

"do you two want to bring the food to the other dorm?" k asked.

"yea, we will after cleaning up," heeseung replied, bring bowls to the sink.

chloe quickly walked over to heeseung and took the bowls from his hand, "i'll clean up so you can bring the food to your other members."

"no it's fine," heeseung kindly rejected, "you cooked for us, so we'll clean."

"i can stay back and clean. you two bring the food over. i don't think they have food," k spoke.

heeseung and sunghoon made eye contact and began exchanging looks with each other before nodding and leaving the dorm with the food.

"that wasn't weird at all," k chuckled, bringing the rest of the dishes to the sink.

chloe laughed, "they're really nice. i mean your members."

"you like them?" k asked.

chloe hummed, "i do. they're really easy to get along with."

"i'm easy to get along with too," k mumbled in a childish voice while washing the dishes.

chloe was wiping down the table when she heard k's whine and chuckled to herself. she turned around and began walking towards k.
reaching him, she stood behind his tall body and wrapped her arms around his waist.
