"okay, i promise that we aren't going to be eating outside of a convenience store in the cold this time," k smiled, opening the passenger side door for chloe.

"i'd be fine if we did though," chloe chuckled, "and you know how to drive?"

"yep," k replied, popping the 'p', as he got into the driver's seat.

"so where to?" chloe asked.

"no where until this is on," k replied, stretching over chloe.

chloe wasn't able to react quickly enough, causing k's cheek to slightly brush against her nose as he leaned over to grab her seatbelt and buckle it in.

"i- i could've managed to do that myself," chloe stuttered.

k looked away from chloe's eyes and focused on turning on the engine, smiling to himself, "i know you could've, but seeing you flustered is- quite something."

chloe's lips parted as she let out a scoff, followed by chuckles, "focus on the road."

"to korean bbq we go!" k exclaimed.

after singing along to the songs that played on the radio, talking and laughing with each other, k pulled into the parking lot. the two put their masks on before exiting the car and walked into the restaurant to be escorted to their table.

"so tell me," k began, "how does it feel to win your first award right when you debuted?"

chloe set the menu down and rested her arms on the table, making eye contact with k.

"it feels .. really really nice," chloe smiled, letting out a breath of relief.

k smiled back and nodded, "well good. that's good. it should feel nice. and i mean you deserve every bit of the recognition."

"why thank you," chloe chuckled, "i mean i was quite lucky to hear that little piece of advice you had for me before my performance. it boosted my confidence a bit."

"yea i'm quite awesome, aren't i?" k cheekily grinned, leaning closer towards chloe.

"i didn't say that, but i'll let you keep thinking that," chloe chuckled, gently pushing his head away as the waitress came to their table.

the rest of their night was spent quite peacefully. the two had conversations about multiple topics, which helped them get to know each other better. they also took care of each other and made sure both were eating enough food.

once the two had plenty of food in their stomach, they sat back and continued their conversations, making them the last people to exit the restaurant before closing time.

"have a good night," a restaurant worker greeted.

"you too," k replied with a smile, despite having a mask on.

the two headed towards k's car, the gentleman side of him showing as he opened the passenger side door for chloe and shutting it once she got herself situated inside.

"thank you for treating me out again," chloe thanked as k started the engine.

"no need to thank me," k smiled, turning to chloe.

the pair shared eye contact for a moment until chloe spoke up, "y-you can just uh drop me off at the company. i'm sure my manager is still there."

"you're so quick to end the night already?" k asked in a soft voice.

chloe literally melted into k's voice and replied quietly, "what else is there to do?"

"are you willing to go stargazing with me?"

"alright," chloe chuckled, "let's do it."

"do you always have a random blanket in your car?" chloe asked as k spread out the blanket onto the grass.

k hummed, "it comes in handy for whenever i fall asleep in the car."

he let out a sigh as he sat next to chloe on the blanket. turning to face chloe, he saw her giving him an unhappy look.

"what's wrong?" he asked.

"you sleep in your car?" chloe replied with another question.

k nodded, "it isn't as bad as it sounds. whenever i return to the dorms late at night, sometimes i don't have enough energy to walk to the dorm, so i stay in the car."

"are you really practicing that hard to the point where you don't have enough energy to walk to your dorm?" chloe asked, a worried side of her beginning to show.

k laid down and looked up at the stars and smiled, "yes, either that or i don't get enough sleep, but it's all fine."

"no it's not," chloe replied, laying down as well.

she kept her eyes on k as she admired his side profile. her eyes wandered from his sharp jawline, to his plump pink lips, to his long eyelashes and puffy hair, not noticing that k had his eyes on her.

"take a picture instead. you can admire my beauty at any time if you have a picture," he mischievously joked, making chloe let out a scoff.

"hey .. uhm k .." chloe began as she looked down at the tattooed spot on her wrist, receiving a hum from k as he turned to lay on his side.

chloe became shy at the intense eye contact the two were holding and quickly turned her head to look elsewhere.

"you know, i brought you here so we could admire the stars, but all you've done is admire me," k chuckled, "i mean i'm not complaining but .."

"oh don't flatter yourself too much," chloe retorted, sitting up, "i've seen more attractive people."

"really?" k asked, sitting up as well.

only, this time when he sat up, his face unintentionally landed really close to chloe's face, their noses brushing against each other.

the normal thing to do would be to back up, but k was enjoying the flustered state that he put chloe in, so he continued.

"name one person you know that is more attractive than me."

"i- uh-"

k backed up, brightly smiling at his success of making chloe flustered.

"you're not answering because there is no one more attractive than me," he childishly mumbled, swaying his head left and right.

despite the inaudible mumbling that was coming from chloe, k settled his laughter down and asked, "what was it that you needed to tell me?"

chloe sighed, "n-nothing. nevermind."

k turned his head and lifted and eyebrow up, seeing how chloe was looking at her wrist again. he sat up straight and also looked down at his wrist.

"we're soulmates. i know," he smiled.
