Chapter 51

Ashley's POV:

*About a few days after the last chapter*

I woke up to someone's phone ringing, I groaned and opened my eyes. I looked around me and saw Nolan still out cold, I looked at my phone and saw that it wasn't mine that was ringing so it was probably Nolan's. I looked around for his phone to shut the darn thing off because I want to go back to sleep. I finally found it beside him and went to press decline until I saw the caller ID.

Sophie <3 calling

What the hell? I checked the time and saw that it was about 8am in the morning. Why the hell is she calling at 8 in the morning and why is there a heart next to her name. At this point, I was wide awake and I sat up properly and stared at his phone. I switched it on silent so Nolan won't wake up to the sound and I stared at her caller ID. I don't understand why the hell there's a heart next to her name and why she would be calling him this early in the mornin. What could she possibly want?

I thought Nolan said that he was distancing himself from her, why is she still calling him? I looked over at Nolan and I couldn't help but feel betrayal. I know that it's just her calling but I feel like it's something more than that. I saw a tear fall on the screen and only then did I realized that I was crying. I touched my cheeks and sure enough I was crying, I wiped the tears away and placed his phone back beside him and decided to get up.

I slipped some slippers on and put on a cardigan. I looked back at Nolan before walking out of my room and down the stairs. I saw Mom and Dad already in the kitchen and they were just talking and drinking. I looked at Mom and I noticed her small bump and I smiled, I can't wait for that baby to come. They noticed me come in and they looked at me.

"Hey, you're up early." Dad said, he placed his mug down and walked over to me. He gave me a hug and I hugged back and sighed. We pulled away and he looked me in the eye and raised an eyebrow.

"Have you been crying?" He asked, I looked away and shook my head.

"No, I just woke up that's why my eyes are kinda swollen." I lied, I heard a bark and looked down to see Bailey looking up at me. I smiled and bent down to gather him in my arms, I bopped his nose and he let a small whine and licked my finger.

"Can I go out and take Bailey for a walk? I won't be out for too long." I asked them, they nodded their heads. I smiled and opened the cupboard to get Bailey's leash, I placed him down and he was jumping around; he knew we were going for a walk. I hooked his leash to his collar and we were off.

As I walked around, my thoughts went back to Nolan and images of him and Sophie flashed in my head and I felt tears start to build up in my eyes.

I mean sure it's fine that he and Sophie talk, but was the heart really necessary? I just don't get it, what if there's something going on with him and her? What if he already got sick of me and decided he doesn't want to be with me anymore? What if he wants to be with her instead?

I guess I was too caught up in my thoughts because I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and bumped into someone. I groaned as I hit the person and felt my self going off balance, before I was able to hit the ground, the person caught me. I looked at the person and saw Julian.

"Julian?" He smiled and helped me stand up properly.

"What are you doing up so early?" He asked, I looked down and saw that Bailey was sitting down and looking at me and Julian. I looked back at Julian and smiled.

"I woke up earlier than usual and decided to take my dog for a walk." I told him, he looked down at Bailey and his smile widened. He bent down and extended his hand towards Bailey, Bailey sniffed his hand before licking his hand showing him that it was alright to pet him. Julian scratched behind his ear and Bailey started leaning onto his hand and closed his eyes.

"He's adorable" Julian said, I nodded my head in agreement and I was about to answer him when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw a text message from Nolan. I sighed and ignored it putting it back in my pocket not bothering to read the message.

"Trouble in paradise?" I heard Julian ask, I looked up at him and crossed my arms over my chest.

"A bit, I don't really know anymore." I said, Bailey walked towards me and rubbed his head against my leg and I smiled.

"How about we go get some iced coffee and we get this little guy a puppuccino? Then we can go to the park."  Julian suggested, I thought about it and nodded my head. This should help me forget about the whole Sophie calling Nolan thing.

"Sure, let's go!" I exclaimed, he nodded his head and we walked to the nearest Starbucks which was just about a few minutes away.

"What?" Julian asked when I finished telling him about Sophie calling Nolan this morning.

"Yeah, and she even had a heart next to her name. I don't even think my name on his phone has a heart, I bet it's just Ashley." I said and rolled my eyes, he sighed and shook his head.

"Are you gonna talk to Nolan about it?" He asked, I thought about it and decided on not telling Nolan.

"Probably not" I said and took a sip of my iced coffee.

We were currently sitting on a bench at the dog park, Bailey was running around with some other dogs and has already eaten his puppuccino.

"Why not?" He asked

"I don't know, Julian. What am I supposed to tell him? I haven't even told him about Ashton and I possibly going with our parents." I said, yes I did tell Julian about the whole thing with my parents and he was pretty shocked when he heard it. I also told Matt, Hazel, and Paisley about it, Ashton told Paisley and she also started bawling until we told her that it was just a possibility and we still weren't sure about it.

"He still doesn't know about that?" He asked and I nodded my head.

"You have to tell him soon, you guys might be leaving soon." He said again and I groaned and leaned my back on the bench.

"I don't know how, Julian." I said and continued to sip on my coffee.

"All you gotta tell him is that there's a possibility for you and Ashton to live with your parents that may be a couple hundred miles away." He said and I looked at him and narrowed my eyes.

"That's not helpful at all." I said and slapped his shoulder, he chuckled and I just rolled my eyes.

We spent a few more minutes talking until I decided that I needed to go back home.

"You gonna tell him?" He asked as we walked side by side, by now I was carrying Bailey in my arms because he got too lazy to walk.

"I'll try" I said

"Okay, well I gotta go now. I'll see you in school tomorrow, alright? Don't think too much about the whole Sophie situation." He said, I smiled and nodded my head. He smiled back and started to walk away, I waved at him and I looked down at Bailey.

"Let's go home, boy." I said, he let out a bark and I smiled and kissed his head.
