My Twin's Best Friend

Chapter 55

Nolan's POV:

I fucked up, I fucked up really bad. Not only did I lose the love of my life, but I also lost my best friend all because of a stupid meaningless hookup with Sophie. I'll admit that what I did was wrong and there's really no acceptable reason for what I did. I received a call from Sophie this morning and when I saw her called ID and it had a heart. I got really confused because I didn't remember putting one when I added her to my contacts, but I paid it no mind and changed it back. I answered her call and she was crying and said that she needed my help and she said I needed to come over. I knew that Ashley and even Ashton was gonna freak out if I told either one of them where I was really going and used Mason as an excuse, which was stupid because I forgot that he was out of town.

When I got to Sophie's house, she looked perfectly fine and at that moment I knew things were about to go downhill yet I didn't do anything about it. She led me to her room and that's where things really got out of hand, she started kissing me and at first I pulled away, but she kissed me back and I wasn't able to stop myself and the next thing I know we were on her bed with half of our clothes on the ground. A few minutes later, we heard a sob and I hesitantly looked and saw Ashton and Ashley and at that moment, I knew I really fucked up.

When Ashley and Ashton left, I was left with Sophie and I saw that she had no regret or guilt in her eyes whatsoever and I just knew that everyone else was right about her and that I should've just stayed away.

I quickly got my clothes on and I looked at Sophie, she didn't bother putting her clothes back on and looked up at me with a smile.

"What? Are we not gonna finish what we started?" She said, I scoffed and slipped my shoes on.

"This was a mistake, Sophie. This will never happen again because from now on, you're gonna stay away from me and my girlfriend." I said to her, she raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

"What girlfriend? Because I'm pretty sure that after what she just saw, you don't have a girlfriend anymore." She said and I just looked at her, is she sick in the head?

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I exclaimed raising my voice a little.

"We belong together, Nolan! She can never give you what I can, she can't love you like I can, you belong with me!" She said raising her voice too, she's definitely sick in the head.

"You're right, she can never give me what you can, because she gives me more and she can't love me like you can, because I know that she loves me just like I love her, but with what you did I might've lost the only person I'll ever love again, so do me a favor and just stay the fuck away from me." I said and stormed out of her room running down the stairs and out the door not bothering to say goodbye to her mother because I'm just not really in the mood.

A few days later, Ashley was a no show in school and Ashton has been ignoring me. The other guys ignored me too and I'm assuming that they know what happened. I also have not seen Sophie which as good because I really don't want to see her ever again, I feel disgusted every time I think of what I actually did.

Today was Thursday and I still see no sign of Ashley, I haven't seen Ashton too but I guess it's because it's still pretty early and pretty much no one was here yet aside from me and a few other students. I've been thinking of ways to possibly get Ashley back, but first I just need to see her and I need her to talk to me. We need to talk about what happened and we can't just leave the situation hanging. I know that she must have been a wreck and I hate that she's hurting because of me and my stupid actions.

I was currently at my locker looking at the entrance hoping to see Ashley walk though those doors. I leaned my head back and just sighed, I heard the doors open signaling that someone entered. I looked at the entrance and there I saw Ashton but he has Ashley with him this time. I looked at Ashley and she looked beautiful, she stood tall and had her chin up as she walked through the halls with Ashton by his side. When they neared me, she and I made eye contact and I saw the betrayal in her eyes and I saw pain, she quickly averted her gaze and they both walked pass me and went to their lockers.

I really fucked up this time, I always fuck everything up. Ashley doesn't deserve any of this pain that she's experiencing, what makes it worse is that I'm the reason she's in pain. I lost her trust and I know it's gonna be hard to gain it back, same goes with Ashton. Ashton and I have been the best of friends since they moved her and not having him by my side is weird, I just had to ruin the good things I had in my life because of one girl.

A few more days have passed and I still had no progress with Ashley or Ashton, those two have been ignoring me like I'm the plague. Today was Friday and school just let out, I was in my car looking and waiting for Ashley to come out with Ashton as they did every day, this became a daily thing for me; watching them walk to their car before driving away from the school parking lot. A few minutes later, I saw Ashley walk out alone and saw her walk towards their car. She dug in her pocket and I assumed she got her keys and she got in the car. I took this as my chance to talk to her, I quickly got out of my car and fast walked to her car. I saw her look at me and she just looked down at her phone and I walked over to her side and tapped on the window. She rolled down the window and raised an eyebrow at me.

"What do you want?" She asked, I haven't heard her voice in a while and it's safe to say that I missed hearing it.

"We need to talk, Ash." I said, she scoffed and looked forward.

"We have nothing to talk about, Nolan."

"Yes we do and you know it, Ash, please just talk to me." I said, she faked a laugh and looked at me.

"Why don't you talk to your little bitch huh?" She said bitterly, I was taken aback by her tone but I knew I deserved what was coming at me.

"Ash please, I love you and I just want to make it up to you, I'll do anything." I pleaded, she opened her mouth to talk but I heard someone approach us and I turned to see Ashton. He glared at me and looked at Ashley.

"What the hell is he doing here?" He asked her and she just shrugged her shoulders, Ashton looked back at me and continued to glare.

"Are you really dumb? Neither of us want anything to do with you, we'll be out of your hair in no time. We're moving with our real parents for good and you will never see either of us ever again." He said, my eyes widened and I saw him walk to the driver's seat and they immediately drove away leaving me shocked with the news I just received.
