Chapter 48

Ashley's POV:

I woke up to something practically crushing my abdomen area; I opened my eyes and looked beside me and saw Nolan asleep with his arm wrapped around my waist and memories of what happened earlier came back to me and I pushed his arm away. He moved a bit but his eyes remained closed, I looked around for any signs of Ashton but he wasn't here. How dare he leave me with him?

I threw my legs off the bed and stood up, I looked back at Nolan to make sure he didn't wake up. When I saw he was still asleep, I walked to my door and carefully opened the door. I walked out and went to Ashton's room, I opened his door and peeked in to see him on his desk working on what I assume is homework. I walked in and closed the door, he looked over at me and sighed.

"I know you're probably mad that I left you with him, but you two really need to talk." He said and I just rolled my eyes and plopped down on his messy bed. I felt something on my back and I reached behind me and I pulled out a sock; I gagged at the smell and threw it away.

"You really need to clean your room." I said and wiped mt hand on his sheets. He chuckled and stood up from his chair and sat next to me.

"Where's Nolan?" He asked

"He was sleeping so I snuck out and went here." I said, he nodded his head and laid down as well and looked at the ceiling.

"You know I think he really regrets it." He said after a few minutes of silence. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"I went to his house when you fell asleep and I punched-" He said but I cut him off

"Woah woah woah, you punched him?" I asked and propped myself with my elbow, he did the same and looked at me.

"Yes, I did" He said

Well that explains the bruising I saw on his nose.

"Why?" I asked

"Why? You're asking me why? Ashley, you're my twin sister for pete's sake and he hurt you. What else was I supposed to do?" He exclaimed, well yeah that makes sense. I nodded my head and urged him to continue.

"Anyways, as I was saying: I went to his house and he was asking about you and stuff. He sent Sophie home and I couldn't stand seeing them both together so I left and came back here to you. A few minutes later, he walked in and looked at you; all I could see in his eyes were regret. I know that he made a mistake, a big mistake, but I know that he loves you." He said, before I could even respond to him, his door opened. Ashton and I looked over and saw Nolan.

My stomach started doing flips and I was nervous for some reason. I knew that Nolan and I were gonna have to talk at some point and I'm worried at what the outcome would be. I know that Nolan loves me and I love him too, but what if he and Sophie become closer and he starts falling for her. If that ever happens, I'll be nothing to him again and I don't want that to happen.

"Ashley" I heard my name come out of his mouth and I looked at Ashton and he nodded his head.

"Can we talk?" He asked, I took a deep breath and nodded my head. I stood up and walked over to him, he opened the door wider and we both walked out of Ashton's room. He continued to walk down the stairs and saw he was going to the backyard. I followed him out and another memory hits me.

This is where Nolan told me that he wasn't giving up on me and where he kissed me.

I saw him sit on the exact same sunbathing chair and I sucked in a breath and sat down with him.

"You wanted to talk?" I asked him, I mentally facepalmed myself. Of course he wants to talk, that's why we're here aren't we? Think straight, Ashley.

"Yeah, we need to talk." He said, okay...usually in relationships that's never a good way to start a conversation because it usually leads to the couple breaking up and I could feel myself slightly hyperventilating.

"Go on" I simply said, he looked down at his lap and started fiddling with the hem of his shirt.

"I know I messed up bad, Ashley. I did, I really diid; I wasn't thinking straight. Ashley, you know I love you, you're the only girl there is for me. Nothing can ever compare to my love for you, you're the best thing that has ever happened to me. Nothing and no one can ever make me think otherwise, because for me, you're the only girl in my eyes. Whatever you think happened with Sophie and me, that's nothing." He explained with pure sincerity in his voice and my heart melted.

"I remember bringing you here when we had our first kiss, I told you that I wasn't going to give up on you and I still stand by it. Ashley, I love you so much, so much that I can't even put it into words. You are the love of my life and nothing can ever change that. Please forgive me, I promise that I would never make you feel like you can't trust me and I will distance myself from Sophie. You come first, always, I will do anything for you Ashley." He said, at this point I was sobbing my eyes out and I wrapped my arms around his torso and buried my face on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me tight.

"I love you so much, Nolan. Don't ever scare me like that ever again." I mumbled in his chest, I felt him bury his face in my hair and inhale.

"I love you too, Ashley and I won't." He said and kissed my head, I smiled and enjoyed being in his embrace.

Eventually, we both had to pull away and I just ended up looking up at him with my chin on his chest and his arms around my waist. He looked down at me and he had a huge grin on his face.

"I missed you" He said, I smiled and reached up to peck his lips.

"I missed you too, can we go back inside? It's getting cold." I said, he nodded his head and grabbed my hand. We both walked back in hand in hand and I saw Mom and Dad in the living room; I didn't even know Dad was home. Bailey was beside Mom on the couch with Mom brushing his fur with her fingers. They both looked up at us and Mom's gaze turned to our hands.

"I'm guessing everything's good now." She said, I smiled and nodded my head. Dad stood up and walked over to us, he stopped in front of Nolan and looked him up and down.

"I was just informed that you hurt my daughter and let me tell you something, I'm not happy about it. But since it looks like everything's good now, I'm letting you off with a warning." Dad said and gave Nolan a pat on the shouldet, I looked at Mom and silently asked for help.

"Honey, leave them alone." She said, Dad looked at her and nodded his head.

"Yeah, just giving him a warning that's all." Dad said and walked away from us going back to where he was with Mom. Nolan and I looked back at each other before deciding to go back up to my room.

When we got to my room, we both sat on my bed and decided to watch some TV.

Everything's back to normal.

Okay, I know I said in the author's note in the last chapter that the next chapter was coming out in a few minutes....but I ended up not finishing this chapter last nigjt and then I fell asleep. But anyways, here's chapter 48 and I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter!! I swear that the last few chapters will be interesting, I love you all so much!!
