"Kelsey!", I was about to climb down the stairs when Juliana suddenly called me from the second floor hallway.
I stopped on the landing and waited for her to approach me. She's gracefully walking while wearing a sweetheart short floral dress and light make up. Her hair was down and fixed in a seductive way.
"Why?"
"Stay inside your room and just call the maids if you want to eat", she crossed her arms over her chest while staring at me with an aura of supremacy, "Tita Vienna and her family will visit today so Mom would surely be mad if you'd make your presence in the dining area"
"Fine", I said in a defeated voice. Did I have a choice?
I was about to go back to my room when she suddenly spoke again. Her voice was critical and careful.
"I heard Trevor already gave you the pasalubong?", I stared blankly at her since I really have no reaction about that, "Don't misinterpret his actions. Trevor is just a really good guy. He's thinking that everyone should have a pasalubong so don't assume that you are special just because he gave you one. Besides, he also bought for his friends in our school and even his friends in their village"
"I'm not even seeing it that way", my forehead creased because I'm trying to point out what she really wanted to say. I could feel that there's more about it, "And he already told me his reason for buying those so don't worry because I'm not even thinking that I'm special for him. We don't even know each other personally"
"Then that's good", she raised her brow in a cold way, "I'm just reminding you not to be confused of his actions. Trevor has a honey tongue. He knows very well how to please women with his sweet words. I just don't like you to get involved with him and put meaning to his actions when in fact he's just good at toying women around"
I stared at her for a moment, wanting to protest about what she said. Trevor has a honey tongue? Was she kidding me? Where's the sweet words in there?
"I think they're already here", she paused as we tried to listen to the noise starting to build in the first floor, "Go back to your room and never show your face in the first floor. Tita Vienna's not please with seeing you too. So do us a favor a stay inside your room everytime they are visiting here. Understood?", she rolled her eyes and walked passed by me to climb down the staircase.
I took a deep sigh and glanced in the first floor before walking back to my room.
I called the maid through our connected phone to bring me my breakfast and some fruits. Since they've been serving here for a long time, they already knew the routine everytime we have visitors. I was always been not allowed to join them.
"Are you busy?", Andrew will be going back here in the Philippines tomorrow so I'm kind of exited seeing him in person again. It's just sad that Ate Miella decided to stay in the US to continue her studies there.
"Nope. I'm just about to read a book. Ikaw? Ready na lahat ng things mo? Wait lang...", I heard Manang knocking on my door so I had to open it for her because I'mused to lock it.
"Hindi ka ulit bababa?", Ate Poly has been my personal maid since the day I first came here.
I really thought that she'll resign when she got married last 4 years ago to focus on her husband and son. But I was so happy when she told me that she can't leave me in this mansion. She's been my ate here.
