Chapter 19

"Baby, pagaling ka na", I was gently caressing Eros' head, who looked so weak on their bed. He has a slight fever due to his teeth that are coming out.

"Thanks for looking after him, Sam. Pabalik na si Manang", Edzel was standing beside the bed. His arms were crossing above his chest while watching us.

"It's so hard pag wala si Manang then may sakit pa si Eros." I looked at the kid again. He's now sleeping peacefully. "Nakakapanibago kapag ganito siya. I'd rather be deaf with his noise than seeing him like this."

Edzel sighed before sitting on the other side of the bed. He gently kissed Eros' forehead and fixed his mini blanket.

I just waited for Manang to come home before I went back to my unit. Medyo bumaba na rin naman ang temperature ni Eros kaya nabawasan na rin ang pag-aalala ko.

The next days were back to normal. Maingay at makulit na ulit si Eros. Nadagdagan pa ang energy niya ngayong 10 months na siya. He's really a talkative kid. Pagpasok pa lang sa unit nila, boses niya na kaagad ang maririnig kahit puro syllables lang naman ang nasasabi niya.

"Miss Kelsey, ipinapatawag po kayo sa office ng president"

I was speechless after hearing what the secretary told when she went inside my office. Dad went back to work after how many weeks of resting in the mansion. I tried visiting him at home since Ahma stayed there a couple of weeks ago.

Noong una, hindi pa rin niya ako kinakausap. But weeks after, he started talking to me, though everything was about work. Mas maayos na yun kesa hindi niya ako kinakausap.

Wearing a pair of black corporate suit and a white turtle neck underneath and my black pumps, I strode in the topmost floor of the building directing towards the President's office. I was so nervous since this is the first time my Dad called me in his office after he discovered my relationship with Andrew.

"You can go inside, Miss Kelsey", the secretary opened the doors for me. Halos mapatigil ako sa paghakbang nang mapansin na hindi lang si Dad ang nasa loob.

"Sit down on the couch, Kelsey", Dad's cold voice surfaced the four corners of the office.

He looked better now. If you'd stare at him, hindi mo aakalain na muntik na siyang atakihin sa puso dahil sa akin.

"Why did you call us, Dad?", Juliana's crossing her legs on the other side of the couch. She coldly waved her hand to dismiss Dad's secretary when she was offered with drinks.

"How about you, Miss Kelsey?"

"I'm good, thanks", I smiled before turning my attention to Dad, who sat on the single couch in front. He's aura was full of authority.

"Do you know the Villanueva's?" He started as soon as his secretary left us. I was biting my inner cheek because of the heavy atmosphere I'm feeling.

"The owner of the Villanueva Architectural and Construction Corp? What's with them?" Juliana's really knowledgeable with this field. Her circle is really huge since she has a lot of connections.

"Yes, the biggest architectural firm as of today. They wanted us to supply them with our furnitures for their new projects." Dad looked so proud while saying those words.

Our company has lots of customers but being a supplier of one of the well-established architectural company is really something to be proud of. Hindi lang kasi dito ang sakop ng kompanya nila. They also have projects around Asia.
