Chapter 14

"Your exposure to our website brought so much fame to you, beb", Gerlie chuckled while we're walking together along the hallway of the university.

I could feel the stares from the people we passed by. There were even greeting me though I actually didn't know them. Nginingitian ko na lang as my response.

"And it brought a lot of discomfort too", I whispered as soon as we were out of the building.

I'm not used to this kind of attention. I've been receiving lots of compliments lately but also hate comments from other people ever since an unofficial Facebook page of our university posted my photo as one of the most beautiful ladies in the university.

Czairina was featured too but because some of the students knew about her relationship with Edzel, they're not digging so much about her. They we're actually admiring the two since they really look great together. Good thing those people are just focusing on our physical appearances and not on our personal lives.

"Oh c'mon!", I stared cluelessly at Miah who suddenly laughed beside me on the backseat. Nasa driver's seat si Gerlie habang abala naman sa kausap sa cellphone si Czai na mukhang nagpapaalam sa boyfriend niya. Akala mo naman hindi magkasama sa bahay.

"What's that?", I peeped into Miah's phone to see what made her laughed so hard, "Woah, now it's a group!", I chuckled when I saw the photo of the four of us posted in the Facebook page with the caption 'requirement bang dapat maganda ka para maging kaibigan nila?'

"Anong meron?", Gerlie glanced on us through the rear view mirror before she focused on driving again. Niyaya ko silang magdinner muna bago umuwi kaya papunta kami ngayon sa isang bagong bukas na restaurant along Katipunan.

"The page posted our photo as one of the gorgeous girl groups in our univ!", natawa pa kami pareho ni Gerlie nang makita ang picture naming apat na busy sa pagkain sa cafeteria. It was taken by Carlton, if I'm not mistaken.

"Seriously?", Gerlie laughed a bit while creasing her forehead, "Why are they obsessing so much about women's physical appearance?"

"Ugh! Who's this Ayana?", Miah asked in gritted teeth while pointing to me the comment, "She said I shouldn't be in the group because I'm ugly!"

My forehead creased so much with that hateful comment. Seriously? What's the definition of ugly? Because if Miah is ugly then no one is beautiful! She's not that tall and not much into make ups but her simplicity is a bomb! She's actually a simpler and younger version of Gal Gadot in our eyes! Where's ugly in there?

"Ayana? Wasn't she the one you competed with in Math Quiz bee last year? The ECE girl? Yung 2nd place", Czai glanced at us. Tapos nang kausapin si Edzel sa phone niya.

"I smell envy", Miah smirked evilly while still scrolling on the comments. Nag-uusap na sa una sina Gerlie at Czai tungkol sa mga hateful words na nababasa namin sa comments. Nakikisali lang din ako sa kanila hanggang sa nagsalita ulit si Miah.

"Sobrang aliw nitong comment na isa. Fanboy mo siguro 'to Sam", she slightly faced the phone to me while she's reading it, "They're all beautiful but the tallest is the most one. Her smile suited her so much. I suggest you, Ms. Samantha, to smile always because you look more beautiful and glowing when you smile. Your small eyes twinkle whenever you lift your lips upward. I also noticed your cute freckles on your cheeks and nose. For some, those are imperfection but on yours, those made you stood out from the crowd. Anyway, your necklace and bracelet look so good on you, hope you won't remove them. Please always take good care of yourself"
