The Last Teardrop (TS3)

Chapter 9

Ilang linggo na ang lumipas simula ng gabing 'yun, pero nangingilabot pa rin ako sa tuwing naaalala na hinalikan ako ng walanghiyang si Asher! I could still feel my blood boils whenever I remember that his lips touched mine.

That's my first kiss at sa isang walanghiyang tao lang napunta! Kay Asher pa na hindi ko alam kung matino ba ang pag-iisip o sadyang may maluwag na turnilyo sa utak!

I didn't know how to respond to what he said after the kiss. All I knew was I was left speechless while trying to process everything in my mind.

Hindi pa nga ako nakakabwelo, biglang dumating naman si Juliana na masama ang tingin sa akin. Her eyes were glaring so much that I felt a bit scared because she looked like ready to grab my hair.

"Trev", her cold voice broke the silence between me and Asher. The monkey turned his head towards my half-sister's direction while slowly removing his hands on my face, "Your parents are looking for you"

"Why would they look for me?"

"I think you need to go home. Tita told me na maaga pa ang flight niyo bukas", her sharp eyes glanced at my direction for a moment before she turned it to this stupid man beside me, "Let's go. Kanina ka pa nilang hinahanap"

I heard Asher sighed before he stood up. He turned his attention to me but I couldn't look at him anymore because I felt mixed emotions inside. I wanted to slap him for suddenly kissing me but there's also a part that wanting for him to stay a bit longer. Hindi ko na maintindihan.

"I need to go", I heard him seriously uttered those words, "Whatever that made you cry, I'm hoping that you'd realize it's not worth of a tear. Smile more, Samantha. You're more beautiful when you smile"

I swallowed hard when he lightly tapped my head twice before walking towards Juliana, who's shamelessly glaring at me. She just stood there with her cold aura and flaming eyes. I thought she'd stay when Asher only passed by her but seconds after, she turned her back at me and followed Asher who obviously didn't mind her.

Ilang segundo pa yata ang lumipas bago nag-sink in sa akin ang mga nangyari. I got so mad at Asher that I had to message him curse words with a lot of exclamation marks. And lo and behold, the monkey just laughed at my messages. Stupid!

Few days after that party, I was surprised seeing Juliana standing outside my unit's door. She's wearing a sweetheart floral dress and her black stilettos which added to her height. Pero kahit naka-heels, mas matangkad pa rin ako sa kanya kahit naka-flats lang ako that time.

"Juliana, uh, pasok ka", I was a bit speechless. Why is she here? Was she visiting me?

Hope started growing inside with the thought that my sister is visiting me in my unit! But of course, I'm not that fortunate and reality has to slap me, always.

"I saw what happened in the party", she started, eyes were covered with flames but the way she stood felt so cold, "Stop seducing Trevor! I told you before not to get closer to him but you kept on seeking for his attention! Bobo ka ba, Kelsey? Why can't you understand that simple instruction?"

I closed my hand in a tight fist, chest ached because of my broken expectations. Of course, why would I even think that she'll visit me as her sister? Kailan ba ako masasanay na hindi naman kapatid ang tingin niya sa akin?

"I'm sorry, Juliana. Hindi naman ako ang lumapit kay Asher—", hindi pa ako natatapos sa sinasabi nang biglang tumawa nang pagak ang kapatid ko. She looked at me with disbelief and disgust on her eyes.
