Chapter 11

Wearing a champagne long gown with deep v-neck that exposes my chest and low back which shows the whole skin at my back, I was fidgeting so much inside my car. I don't even know why I'm getting nervous tonight.

It's Dad birthday and like the usual, we'll celebrate it with his friends and business partners. Ang kaibahan lang ngayon, hindi na kami magkakasabay sa sasakyan. Dad and Tita Monica's car was in front, Juliana's was next to it, while mine's after Juliana's.

Dad and Tita Monica were waiting for us outside when we came. Ang gusto ni Dad magkakasabay kaming papasok sa venue. Kahit most of the time pakiramdam ko mas may oras siya sa negosyo, pero during events like this, hindi siya pumapayag na wala sa amin.

Yun nga lang, ilang taon na ring hindi namin nakakasama si Ahia.

"You shouldn't have attended tonight", Juliana hissed while were walking towards Dad. She's wearing a dark blue satin bodycon short dress with low neck that exposes her cleavage. Her long blonde-dyed hair was curled that gave emphasis to her beautiful face.

"I can't, you know that"

"You really know how to get into my nerves", she faked a smile at our Dad, letting him see that we are fine, eventhough in truth we're actually silently fighting again, "Don't ever try to go near Trevor or else you already know what will happen!"

She walked elegantly and showed her sweet smiles to everyone when the cameras started flashing as soon as we entered the venue.

I tried to smile as well but deep inside I was actually in chaos. I couldn't understand why I'm getting more nervous aside from seeing Asher after almost two months of having no communication at all.

Halos suyurin ng mga mata ko ang bawat mesa habang nakasunod kami kena Daddy papunta sa unahan. Everyone's watching us. They were smiling to my Dad, Tita Monica and Juliana. Some were smiling at me too but most were looking at me under their eyes.

I couldn't walking after Dad, si Juliana bahagyang napapatigil kapag may bumabati at bumebeso sa kanya.

"You're so gorgeous, Juliana. You're really looked like your Mom", I heard them saying. Hinayaan ko na lang at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.

I almost stopped from walking when a pair of cold eyes caught my sight. My breathing hitched a little as he stared at me coldly, very far from the way he looked at me two months ago. I was still thinking if I'm going to greet him or not but before I could make up my mind, his blue eyes then transferred to Juliana, who's excitedly walking towards their table.

"Trevor!", her happiness was very evident on her tone. Lux smirked when Juliana hugged Asher tightly. I then suddenly felt awkward when his amusing eyes turned to me while smirking at Asher who's hugging Juliana back.

"I missed you, Juliana", I looked away from then and decided to continue walking towards our table, just beside them. Nasa stage na si Dad habang nakaupo naman sa table namin si Tita Monica together with Ahma and Angkong.

"My dear Kelsey", Ahma gestured for me to sit beside her, which I did. Si angkong, seryoso lang na nakatingin kay Dad na kinakausap ng host for tonight. I tried to approach to give him respect, but like the old times, he didn't pay me any attention.

"You're so beautiful, Kelsey. You don't looked like stressed out with your studies like you always tell me on our phone calls", Ahma whispered the last words when she noticed the changed in my mood after Angkong ignored me. She's trying to cheer me up.
