clay hit send, staring at the house in front him.
clay💚: hey i'm here :DD
he double checked the address and walked up the sidewalk.
filled with anxiety, clay wondered why george had picked interest in him.
clay had nothing cool going on about him, just a shy kid who was too afraid to ask for a packet of ketchup.
why him?
however clay wasn't complaining, he had totally fell for george but knew he would just ignore that.
after all he wouldn't want to ruin a possible friendship.
as he was about to knock,
his phone vibrated.
he quickly checked it.
georgie💙: oh! okay one second lol i'm upstairs x)
as he set his phone back in his pocket, a crash, which made clay flinch, was heard followed by a fiddling of the doorknob.
as the white door creaked open,
the smaller boy with endearing mocha brown eyes huffed, fading his frown into a happy smile.
"hi! ha, sorry about that."
clay giggled, covering his smile with his hoodie sleeve.
"anyway, come on in," george said, looking charmingly at the taller, timid male.
clay nervously nodded, entering the home.
taking off his shoes, he spotted a shape moving behind george.
immediately, his eyes lit up as he seen a grey and black cat.
it looked up at him curiously and he smiled.
george took notice of this and picked the cat up, bringing it forward to clay.
"this is luca. don't worry, he's friendly." george said as they both headed for the living room.
clay scanned george's house.
seems like his family isn't home?
that was better for him anyways, the less social interaction the better.
sitting next to george on the couch, he passes the cat to clay.
luca sits down on clay's lap, setting his paws under him. clay silently giggled at the cat.
luca was so cute to clay.
"do, do you uh hare any more uh, animals?" clay nervously reached out.
nodding, george stood up, beginning to search his house.
clay sat patiently with the content cat, stroking his soft fur.
i hope george doesn't think i'm too awkward. clay thought as he scratched the back of his neck.
"..here! here puppy," clay heard from the distance, raising his excitement
clay loved dogs.
to be honest, he loved animals in general.
they were so intriguing and cute to him.
he wished he could have all the animals.
-
"this is actually a new puppy, we got her a few days ago."
clay nodded, turning his head in admiration at george and the puppy.
scooting closer, he touched next to george and began to pet the dog .
at clay's movement, luca hopped off, wandering off to the kitchen.
"george thank you." he blurted.
"for what?" the brunette confusedly asked.
"i don't know,
i guess for actually caring and hanging out with me" he looked at george.
"oh you don't have to thank me, i like hanging out with you only if we've hung out for like 20 minutes."
clay smiled, feeling slightly overwhelmed.
he couldn't wait to get home and tell his mom all about his new, cute, friend.
"you mean that?"
"of course." george in return, smiled and patted clay's shoulder. clay blinked and let a slight blush cover his face.
he gave george a quick hug and george had given one back.
"i'm really looking forward to hanging out with you, clay."
"same."
-
as they looked for something to eat, footsteps were heard.
george groaned, confusing clay.
"huh?" he quietly hummed.
"i forgot, my mom worked nights so she was sleeping. i thought we were home alone." he explained in a hushed tone to clay.
nodding, clay took the sandwich george had made for him.
"hey georgie, how was school?"
george's mom asked before seeing the two.
"uh, it was good." he called.
"oh, who's this?" she asked, a little surprised as she was in a housecoat and bright pink slippers.
"this is clay, mum." he answered.
she made an ohhh noise and nodded.
"i've heard of him from you." she handed a small smirk, knowing how george had felt about clay.
frowning, george headed for upstairs.
"uh, n-nice to meet you mrs. davidson," he stuttered.
"likewise" she smiled, shaking his hand.
"have fun boys!" she called from behind as clay and george headed upstairs to george's room.
