By the time I came back, Cody was laying on the floor. I could barley hear his breath. When I tried to rush over to him. My legs gave up on me. Like pins and needles stabbing me.

"Argh!" I crouched over, unable to move.
Was this because of the magic?!

"Cody!" I shouted his name. No answer. Ugh! Screw this! I used all the strength I could and bolted over to him. My legs staggered and limped once I made it to him.

"Cody!"

At first he didn't answer. But when I rolled him over I saw him opening his eyes slightly. He must be exhausted from the magic he had used. He was sweating a lot.

"Thank goodness..." Falling back on my rear. My emotions from everything that had happened and even seeing Cody like this. It all gushed out altogether.

Cody noticed my childish cries and reached for my hand.

"Was it difficult?" He questioned.

Nodding my head, we ended up staying like this for awhile. He was in no condition to move. Neither was I.

"I don't want to believe it. But I know who poisoned her." I spoke.

"Is it someone you know?" Cody sat up to listen. His skin tone was paler than before, yet his hands were warm.

"Yeah. He's someone that I wouldn't suspect. Someone who I tried so hard to trust." Biting down on my own words. I began to grieve. How annoying and irritating it was to think about Gia and Jai, both having loving parents.

Cody gripped his hands around mine.
It was same for the both of us. He and I.

The next day. We headed out. Nashi didn't reveal who the man was. Nor did she bring it up. But all I know is, where going somewhere.

"Do you have a destination in mind?" I asked, sitting on the rim of his bed. I waited for a reply as she packed her bag.

"I don't know anymore. I want to figure out why he did it in the first place. Yet I don't want to see his face." Nashi hands began to tremble.

"Are you willing to tell me who it is?"
She seemed so unsure.

"I don't want to believe it's him. However, reality keeps forcing it on me. Your magic, showed it. I'm not ready...She confessed.

She stood there. Frozen. I couldn't say I knew how she felt. Though the circumstances are quite strange. Wouldn't this person have a reason? Without a murderous intent? She did say that it was someone she knew very well.
I wonder who it could be.

"We're heading back to Magnolia."

I announced while taking a few bites of my lunch. When we made it to our compartment in the train. Cody tapped my shoulder.

"What do you think your going to do when you see this person?" Cody crossed his arms and raised a brow. Like he thinks I'm going to do something very bad.

"That depends. Which do you want to hear?" I looked back at him with no pity in mind.

"I..." Cody felt hesitant and sighed.

"I'll give them hell." I said under my breath.

Cody was startled by my words. He looked down and spoke again.

"Nashi I don't think that's a good idea."

Ugh?! He never gets it. Does he?

"Got any better suggestion? Mr. Rich pants, thinks he's better than everyone else?"

Cody diverted his gaze.

"Sorry." Cody stood up from his seat. "I'll be buying a drink." Like that, he left.

"Dammit." I slouched in the seat and stomped my foot on the dense floor of the train. I shouldn't have said that. Come on Nashi, you know that's not true. You better apologize to him.

This is just too much for me. All I want is to confront the culprit. Bring my mom justice. And live in peace. Is that too much to ask for?

<Cody>
Why am I always screwing up? All I want is to see Nashi happy. I don't like how fixated she is on trying to torment the man who poisoned her mom. She has her reasons, I get it. I don't have the right to criticize. However, she's becoming more and more secluded from the light. Like she's no longer walking the path she wanted to in the first place. But rather another dark and morbid one with no end to it.

"C-Cody? Is that you?"

I turned around to see my ex-fiancée wandering about with her butler. He squinted his eyes and took out his monocle. Then nodded his head in response.

"Lydia?! What are you doing on the train?!"
She made a caustic expression and looked very displeased.

"Ahem. It's called public transportation for a reason." She spoke with the acrimonious tone that I remember. "What about you?" She glanced at my improper attire. I did ditch the fancy suits and hair gel.

"I'm heading back to Magnolia."

"What about that guild? Did you join it?"

"I have. It's quite lovely. Everyone and all." I guess my face had randomly created a smile. A smile enough for Lydia to recall fond memories of us.

"It's was nice seeing you again. I'll see your around Cody." Lydia planted a kiss upon my cheek and gestured her hand to her butler.

It was awhile when I couldn't see them anymore.

"That women." I couldn't help but to laugh. Lydia is dear to me as well. I did choose to join Fairy Tail over her, she agreed with the split of our arranged marriage. She wanted to find true love with someone else.

Going back to my seat. I found Nashi passed out on the seat across from mine. I felt a sudden breeze that gave me goosebumps. Only to notice that we were sitting right next to a vent. The cold air rushed in and I saw Nashi shivering. She'll catch a cold if she doesn't cover up.

I took out a jacket from my bag and positioned it on her. She always at peace when she sleeps. I patted her head and thought about the hardships. The burden she carries must be heavy.

"Nashi, everyone is born for a reason. When you are born, you are alone. That means at death, you're alone too. However, the essence of being born is meeting that fated person. Nothing more. Sometimes company is better than being alone."

The track seem to hit a bump and I instantly awoke. What surprised me was that there was a jacket thrash apon me. Looking over, Cody passed out in the seat across.

He must of laid this on me, warm. I gleamed and reached out my hand. A few inches away from him and I could touch.

"I'm sorry Cody. I'm sorry I'm always blaming you. Thank you."
