Gracie stayed at his house Monday night but slept in a room away from him. He drove her to work the next day, and the rest of the week, they were busy working on the Badeaux project.
Olivia: "Do you have plans with him tonight?"
Gracie: "Ummm, I'm not sure yet. We've texted back and forth all week. He had to go out of town Tuesday after he dropped me here. He got back this morning. I'd say he probably needs rest. I don't want to bother him."
Olivia: "Gracie, I'm sure he wouldn't see it as a bother."
Gracie: "Do you have plans with MJ tonight?"
Olivia: "Umm, not yet. We do things spur of the moment."
Gracie: "What happened to Anita? I noticed she hasn't been in all week."
Olivia: "MJ is looking for her replacement. He fired her."
                              Gracie: "Really? For what?"
Olivia: "Making a rude comment about a client. He overheard it."
Olivia couldn't tell her the truth.
                              Gracie: "Oh, wow."
The intercom went off in their office. MJ's voice carried through.
MJ: "Gracie, could you come to see me for a minute?"
                              Gracie: "Be right there."
They wait for the intercom to click off.
Gracie: "He never calls us over the intercom."
                              Olivia: "I know that's odd."
Gracie: "Normally, that means more work or late nights."
                              Olivia: "I hope not."
Gracie makes her way to his office. She knocks on the door.
                              MJ: "Come in."
Gracie opens to the door to find not only MJ in the office but Justice too.
MJ: "Hey, Gracie, have a seat."
MJ says as she shuts the door.
                              Justice: "Hello, Babe."
She didn't know how to act or what to say. This was awkward for her.
MJ: "It seems we have some business with Badeaux that requires an international trip. I am unable to make it as Dad is needed in Texas for the Hopkins account. Since you are my assistant, this trip falls on you."
                              Gracie: "Me?"
MJ: "Yes. You can take notes and report back to me. You have a passport, right?"
Gracie: "Yes. I got it for school."
Justice speaks for the first time since hello.
Justice: "Gracie, I'm sorry this is being put on you."
Gracie: "It's ok. I travel with MJ; it's We just normally take a car, and MJ isn't going this time."
Justice: "Are you afraid to be alone with me?"
Gracie: "No. I'm afraid of planes. I assume we would be flying if it's international."
