~~Three weeks later~~
It was Gracie's first day at Badeaux. It was also the day of her parent's trial.
Justice: "Did you take your pill this morning Babe?"
Gracie: "I took it with my prenatal vitamins."
The doctor had decided to keep her on the blood pressure medication.
Justice: "You ready?"
Gracie: "No."
Justice: "Gracie, don't be nervous."
Gracie: "Easy for you to say you know these people."
Justice: "You have me. Lois is great; you will love her."
Gracie: "Let's just go, Justice."
The ride to work was silent. Before they get out, Justice speaks.
Justice: "Don't be nervous, Babe."
Gracie: "Easy for you to say."
Justice: "Gracie..."
Gracie: "Let's just go."
Justice gets out, Gracie follows. Justice is ahead of her, and he suddenly stops.
Gracie: "Justice, why did you stop? I almost ran into you."
Justice: "To do this."
He grabs her cheeks with both hands, and his mouth crashes down on hers. He puts his forehead on hers.
Justice: "You look amazing."
Gracie: "Thank you."
Justice: "Your ass looks amazing."
She blushes.
Justice: "I love you, Gracie."
Gracie: "I love you, too. Can I ask you something?"
Justice: "Anything."
Gracie: "How many people here know you're married?"
Justice: "I don't know. I don't hide it, Babe. I wear my ring. If they ask, I tell them."
They go into the office and straight to Justice's office; he sat behind his desk, Gracie was in a seat across from him but behind the door.
Gracie: "This place is intimidating."
Justice: "Why?"
Gracie: "Twenty stories...
Justice: "Your office is down here. Down the hall."
Gracie: "Don't most CEOs and owners have office's on the top floor the entire length of the building?
Justice: "That's not me, and you know it."
A knock came to the door.
Justice: "Come in."
The door opens, hiding Gracie.
