Chapter Ten

Gracie and Justice have been living together for two weeks. Sunday was the day they chose to go to the grocery store. Today was no different. They were making their way through the store, getting the items they needed. Gracie and Justice, he just turned a corner when she sees her mother. She couldn't avoid her; she already saw her.

Gracie: "Great."

Gracie sighs.

Justice: "What's wrong, Babe?"

Gracie: "My Mom."

Justice: "Where?"

Gracie: "Right there."

She pointed towards her.

Justice: "Let's go to a different aisle."

Gracie: "She already saw me."

Justice: "Damn."

Buffy: "Gracie."

Gracie: "Mom."

Buffy: "So, it is true?"

Gracie: "What's true?"

Buffy: "That you're with him."

Gracie: "Yes. In fact, we live together now."

Buffy: "So, Justice, what's it like screwing a whale?"

Justice: "It's Mr. Badeaux to you. I have nothing to say to you. Gracie, come on, let's go."

Justice wasn't happy. He steps back to turn around and runs into someone.

Gracie: "Dad!"

Gracie says, shocked.

Justice: "Sorry about that."

Justice apologized. He tried to move around him, but Nick blocked his way.

Nick: "I don't see any flour in your cart, Justice."

Justice: "Why would we need flour?"

Nick: "To roll Gracie in it so you can find the wet spots."

Justice: "Gracie, please take the cart to the register."

Justice waits for her to leave.

Nick: "Aww trying to keep the coward from getting hurt."

Justice grabs him by his collar.

Justice: "I'm going to say this once and once only. You know who I am. What you don't know is I can ruin your life with one phone call. Stay away from Gracie; stay away from me if we see you in public walk away. I promise you I can and will destroy you."

He lets go of Nick.

Nick: "You don't scare me. She's my daughter. I'll talk to her as I see fit. As for you, you may have money and "fame," but you have nothing on me."

Justice: "Then take whatever happens to you because I will make your life a living hell."

Justice leaves to find Gracie. She was at the register waiting.
