Jane was in the bus, looking at her watch and hopping up and down. She was late at her work and she didn't like that. She didn't want Jerry to fire her, she needed too much this work. Why were there so many people on the road!? She hated Brooklyn for this, it was always a mess on the roads. The bus stopped, freeing the brunette inside. She ran in the streets and burst into the shop where Joyce was.

- "I'm sorry, I'm late, but those idiots at the hospital, they lost my fucking file! In a computer!"

- "Jane, it's fine, take your time," Joyce reassured.

- "I go to the bathroom and I come."

- "Sure," she chuckled. "You'll take care of the checkout."

- "Okay, I'll be fast."

Jane quickly ran between the shelves to join the staff room while Joyce was playfully shaking her head with an amused smile on her face. Once ready, Jane went to the checkout to take care of her customers. But in the middle of the afternoon, the store was quiet, and Jane was beginning to feel a bit dizzy, so she let her eyes closing without noticing it.

A bit farther in the store, Mike and Dustin were doing some shopping for Clara's party tonight. They were trying to hide from Joyce because they knew she wouldn't let them buy alcohol. They tried to hide the bottles under the bags of potato chips and candies.

- "We have everything?" Dustin asked with a low voice, looking around.

- "I think. Let's go," Mike answered.

The two boys pushed the cart between the shelves, checking if Joyce was near them, and finally reached the checkout. They frowned with an amused smile when they saw their friend asleep on her chair, her arms crossed and her head down.

- "She is snoring," Mike mocked.

Dustin chuckled. The curly-haired boy went behind the checkout, placed his hands around her right ear, and yelled:

- "JANE!"

The brunette quickly opened her eyes, not understanding what was happening, but her hearing aid was doing a high and loud pitch in her ear. She quickly took it off and looked around to see Mike and Dustin laughing.

- "What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Jane grumbled, rubbing her ear.

- "You should have seen your face," Mike giggled.

- "You're both idiots!"

- "Don't fall asleep next time!"

- "I wasn't asleep!"

- "Yes, you were!" Dustin stated.

- "And even if I was, you can't yell in my ear like that! Especially this one! Fuck! And get the fuck out of here!"

Dustin tensed his smile and joined Mike on the other side of the checkout. The yells got Joyce's attention who was slowly approaching them.

- "I hope you are yelling because they are too young to buy alcohol," Joyce said.

- "She fell asleep," Dustin said, trying to change the subject.

- "No! I didn't!" Jane replied.

- "Yes, you did!" Mike added.

- "Jane? Is it true?"

- "No, I wasn't asleep! I just...closed my eyes!"

- "That's the definition of falling asleep," Mike stated.

- "Shut up!"

- "Okay, enough," Joyce cut. "Why don't you take back all this alcohol while I talk to her?"
