The next day, Jane went to hospital to tell them she was feeling worse. All they did was telling her to take some rests and giving her more meds to give her some energy. She had spent hours just for this. At least, she received her results from the last time.

Now it was the end of the day. She took the new meds that the doctors gave her and let them work on her. A few minutes later, she felt something different. She managed to walk a longer distance than usual without taking a break. She wasn't in a perfect form, but it was better than the last days. The hospital was a bit far from her apartment, but she didn't want to take the bus, thinking it was maybe her last chance to take some air without struggling too much.

But now, it was getting dark, and Jane was still far from her home. At least, Constance was still working, meaning she wasn't worrying for her. But Jane was out of breath, feeling dizzier and dizzier. She arrived at a bus stop, but the bench was full of people. And Abigail was there too. She wasn't feeling bad enough, Abigail had to be here too! Jane clenched her jaw and looked away, not wanting to see her. But Abigail stood and said:

- "Here, take my seat."

- "I don't want your pity," Jane angrily answered.

- "I don't care. You need to sit, so sit."

Jane clenched her jaw, but it wasn't the moment to have pride. She weakly walked to the bench and sat. It was awkward, Abigail was standing there, looking at Jane, while the people next to her were doing weird faces in her direction, like if she had rabies, especially when she began to cough. Luckily for them, their bus arrived. All of them stood to go in there. Abigail was about to do the same, but she stopped at the door before stepping back. The bus went away, letting Jane and Abigail alone at the bus stop. The blonde girl sat next to Jane, which annoyed the brunette.

- "You missed your bus to look at me dying!?" Jane replied.

- "I just wanna be sure you're okay."

- "Because you care now!?"

- "I...I'm sorry, for everything I'd done to you."

- "Oh, great! I feel so much better right now! You're here because you feel guilty, not because you care!"

- "I know, I'd been awful with you! But I don't want you to think that I'm happy to see you like that! I...I feel guilty, you're right, I'm not expecting you to forgive me or whatever, but I'm trying to forgive myself for hurting people only because I was lonely and sad, waiting for the boy I love to love me back! But it never happened, and I kinda always knew it would never happen. So you paid for my pain, and I feel like a shit for that," Abigail explained.

- "Good, 'cause you're a fucking shit!"

Abigail just nodded, agreeing with her. Jane wasn't even feeling bad for talking to her like that, this girl had treated her like this for years, so why not doing the same then!? She was not up to judge correctly anyway; her brain was lacking air. Abigail turned to check the times of the buses.

- "What's your bus?" Abigail asked.

- "B25."

- "Um, I think you missed the last one."

Jane closed her eyes of desperation. She should have taken it when she left hospital! But no, she had to test herself one more time! The day before in the stairs wasn't enough apparently! But Jane could feel her heart accelerating, same for her breathing.

- "Jane, is there someone close to here who you could stay with until you can go back to your home?" Abigail asked.

- "I...Yes."

- "Alright. Let's go then."

- "I...I'm not sure I can walk."

- "I'll help you."

Jane didn't like this idea, but she had no better option as her phone was dead now. Abigail raised Jane's right arm to wrap it around her shoulders and forced Jane to stand. The brunette used her crutch in her other hand, but let Abigail taking care of her oxygen tank, not having the strength to carry it. Jane tried to guide Abigail the best she could, but her body was losing more and more energy; talking was an ordeal.

But, the two girls still made it. They entered the building and took the elevator to the fifth floor. Abigail could feel that the weight was beginning to be heavier, and Jane's head kept falling again and again. Abigail kept carrying Jane in the corridor, but the brunette passed out and collapsed on the ground.

- "PLEASE SOMEONE! HELP!" Abigail yelled.

The blonde teen knelt next to Jane and made roll her body on her back. At the same time, a door opened, and Joyce appeared.

- "Oh my god..." she sighed. "Will, call 9-1-1!"

Joyce didn't lose her composure. She quickly walked to them and knelt next to Jane to check her. The girl wasn't breathing anymore, and her heart wasn't beating, so Joyce began a heart massage. Abigail stood and stepped back, her hand on her mouth, under shock. Will appeared in the corridor, phone on his ear, telling the 9-1-1 all the information they needed. A few seconds later, it was Max who came. The redhead froze when she saw for the second time Jane laying down on the ground, unconscious, with someone giving her a mouth-to-mouth. But when she saw Abigail, she found her way to let off steam.

- "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?" Max yelled, angrily walking to her.

- "I, I didn't do anything!" Abigail stuttered, a tear falling on her cheek.

- "I'm supposed to believe you, asshole!? Why are you with her!? And why is she like that!? What the fuck did you do!?"

- "Max, yelling at her won't help Jane," Will intervened.

- "But it helps me!"

- "Come on, you know it's not her fault."

The boy grabbed her arm and forced her to step back. Max wasn't really mad at Abigail, well, not for this. She knew this moment was going to happen, she had feared it for months, and now it was happening, and Max didn't know what to do. The girl slid against the wall and began to let go her tears while she was looking at her unconscious girlfriend. If not dead.
