Jane had spent the Sunday at Max's meaning that the two girls arrived together at school the next day. They were still not ready to face the other students' looks on them, so they tried to not look too close, but Max was still wrapping her arms around Jane's right arm. They had already walked like that before, even before they began to date. They entered the building and saw Troy talking with Abigail a bit farther. When the boy saw Jane, he immediately stopped his conversation with the blonde girl and ran to his friend, upsetting Abigail.
- "Hey," he smiled.
- "Hey," Jane answered.
- "It's her?"
Jane wide opened her eyes and became red while Max unwrapped her arms, understanding that they were looking too close.
- "Oh, no, don't feel embarrassed. It's just, she told me for the kiss, but she didn't want to tell me who it was."
- "Yeah, if you could keep it for yourself, we would appreciate," Jane said.
- "Yeah, sorry. I'm just so happy for you!"
- "Troy, you are too fan of me."
- "I know, sorry," he said, tensing his smile.
- "Oh oh, we'll have some company very soon," Max stated, making a movement with her head.
Troy turned his head and saw Abigail approaching them. The blonde girl placed her arm on the boy's shoulder and looked at Jane with angry eyes.
- "Abigail," Jane saluted with a cold tone.
- "Don't talk to me."
Jane pouted, making smile Max and Troy, finding ridiculous the reaction of Abigail.
- "Come on, Troy, we have better things to do."
The boy sighed and looked at Jane with tiredness. Jane shrugged before miming a key closing her mouth, making him laugh. Troy waved to her before walking away. Abigail did the same, but she showed her middle finger as a goodbye to Jane.
- "What a charming girl, I wonder why Troy doesn't wanna date her!" Max joked.
Jane chuckled. The two girls continued their way in the halls and reached their lockers. While they were taking their books from their lockers, Jane felt something touching her arm. She turned around and was surprised to see Lucas standing there. The boy didn't say anything. He just looked at her before pouting. The girl was so happy to see him back to school, she was so scared he wouldn't go out of his house ever again after what happened. Jane opened her arms and wrapped them around him. The boy did the same, placing his head on her shoulder and holding her tight. Holding her like that made him realize how important his friends were for him, and that he was nothing without them. Lucas broke the hug, smiled to her, and walked away. He had someone else to see. He walked through the halls and reached the locker he was searching. He approached the black-haired girl, stressing a little bit, before stopping next to her.
- "Sinclair," Gabrielle sighed, relieved to see him.
She took him in her arms and kissed his cheek before breaking the hug.
- "How do you feel?"
- "Better."
- "I'm happy to hear that. This week with your aunt was a good idea."
- "Yeah, it was. It gave me some time to think. I...I want to apologize..."
- "Don't. You had a complicated week. I'm not mad at you."
- "Thank you. For everything. I'm lucky to have you."
- "Indeed," she joked.
Lucas chuckled and took her hand to squeeze it before telling her his week with his aunt. But Lucas wasn't the only one who came back to school. Alban was proudly walking through the halls like a victorious conqueror with his chest stuck out, even if his face was still looking like shit. Lucas tried to hide behind his girlfriend to not be seen, but it didn't work. Alban grabbed him and pushed him brutally against the locker.
