Chapter 18 : Punches

The next day, Max and Jane avoided to talk about what happened in the bedroom. Max wasn't ready for this, she was feeling a bit embarrassed for touching Jane like that, letting her desire for her control her like that. When they arrived at school, Max left Jane to go to Gary while the brunette joined Beverly.

- "Hey, Jane! What's up?"

- "Max touched me weirdly yesterday," Jane said.

- "...What!?"

- "I...She didn't touch my boobs or my...but it wasn't just friendly, like...sensual?"

- "Oh wow! I don't regret to have woken up this morning!" Beverly chuckled. "What happened after?"

- "Neil and her mother went back home, so she stopped and...she seemed embarrassed and scared."

- "Oh...that sucks."

- "Yeah...I don't know what to think about it. It seemed to really please her, but we just arrived, and she ran to Gary Hunky. I'm lost."

Beverly sadly pouted. She was sure Max was having feelings for Jane, she just needed some time to accept to hide it from Neil. But she agreed with Jane, every time Gary was around, Max was running to him, it was weird, and a bit mean to Jane. She hoped it wasn't bullshit and that she wasn't playing with Jane's feelings. It would be awful, but it wasn't the type of Max, Bev wasn't worried. Beverly rubbed her friend's back and invited her to go with her inside, so she wouldn't have to see Max with Gary. When they arrived at Bev's locker, Will approached with a worried expression.

- "What's wrong?" Jane frowned.

- "The headmaster wants me to be the students' representative," the young boy answered.

- "What!?" Bev smiled. "And you accepted?"

- "I...guess."

- "God, you'll have to do a speech in front of everyone at the graduation ceremony!"

- "I know! I'm so screwed!"

The two girls chuckled while the young boy was tearing his own hair out of desperation.

In another hall, Lucas was talking with his girlfriend, Gabrielle, and holding her hand. He wasn't regretting one second to have invited her for a date, now they were inseparable. The two lovers decided to go in the stairs behind the laboratory, as almost nobody was using them. They began to hug and kiss each other, letting the butterflies make them light, when a group of teens were coming from upstairs.

- "Damn, you must be desperate to kiss that shit face!"

- "Leave us alone, Alban!" Gabrielle intervened.

- "There is better than that in that school."

- "What is it supposed to mean!?" Lucas snapped.

Alban just needed to look at him up and down to make him understand.

- "You're just a pathetic small dick," Lucas replied, not wanting to be insulted in front of his girlfriend.

Alban didn't appreciate what he said. The blonde teen firmly grabbed Lucas by his tee-shirt and brutally blocked him against the wall. Gabrielle tired to intervene to separate them, but Alban pushed her, making her fall on her butt.

- "Hey! Don't touch her, asshole!" Lucas angrily replied.

Lucas headbutted Alban, forcing him to let him go. But his friends decided to fight too. One of them grabbed Gabrielle to be sure she wouldn't intervene while the others grabbed Lucas's arms and legs. Now, the young boy was unable to move. Alban stood and began to punch Lucas in his face. Lucas couldn't fight. He was beginning to feel a hot liquid running from his nose and mouth while his ears were buzzing, covering Gabrielle's screams.
