Waking up the morning and knowing it's your first day back at college after a long three month break is one of the most awful things to think about from a great sleep.

Which is most likely why I was so grumpy this morning.

Either that or Aunt Flow will make an appearance soon, stay tuned.

"Oh cheer up 'Rilly, you should be excited!" My mothers voice is laced with encouragement and a hint of sadness as I bite into my toast aggressively at the thought of going back to classes.

For the rest of the semester I get to move back into my on campus apartment that I once shared with Nora and Violet, before Nora moved into an apartment she now of recent, shares with Mason.

Our apartment is not too big and not too small. And the price is definitely doable.

We have our two bedrooms, our cosy kitchen, our living room and one bathroom.

Our apartments were still on campus, around the corner from the dorms.

The difference between the two blocks was each had set rules —

Dorms were strictly campus grounds where every rule in the classroom and quad, was also applied in the dorm block.

Yet in the Apartment complex on campus, rules were still applied, but a little more freely, boys and girls could share apartments, and it was much, much bigger than the tiny dorm rooms we were in when we first arrived.

I shared a dorm with a girl who would sell a limb to get into a sorority, it was slightly terrifying the dedication she had to even be accepted, it was hardcore.

We moved out of our dorms as soon as we realised there was another complex in our price range, because students on an incredibly poor budget, we knew we would not be able to afford too much.

"Good morning ladies, how are we all today?" I hear a familiar voice walk through my door along with another pair of footsteps stepping beside.

I turn to face Violet and Nora all dressed and ready to leave, obviously coming to pick me up, which has been our routine since high school.

"Morning girls, fancy any breakfast?" My mother plants a sweet smile on her face towards my friends at the greeting but they shake their heads.

"Sorry as much as I would love to stay and eat, we have classes to attend. So come on little miss ray of sunshine — grab your things and move your butt!" Nora says with an encouraging smile and I give her a small blank stare before standing up and dusting the crumbs off my hands before grabbing my bag along with my  books then kissing my mother and sister good bye before leaving once again with my friends, and back into the same routine.

Walking down the small, leaf covered path into the gates of our school, the departing summer breeze hits my face and soothes me from Nora's broken car heater that had over heated my entire body.

It is either a freaking sauna in there or Anartica, no inbetween.

"At least I have English lit first, I don't think I could possibly sit through another lesson with Professor Stonhem and his many "Artistic" abilities." My voice lacing with sarcasm and my friends chuckle under their breaths at my remark.

We like to get to the campus early as it gives us time to get back into our routine and get all of our books and notes ready for class.

Luckily, I only have two lessons today, English and Fashion Design & Styling course. Then I get to go back to my apartment and reminisce with my bed that I've been missing dearly.
