Sweet Love

When Millie woke up in her cozy bed the next morning, a short 'good morning' text that was waiting for her on her phone brought a huge smile to her face. She was immediately transported to the night before. The night of her first date with Finn.

Yes. By the end of their time together at the golf course, he had finally agreed that they were indeed on a date. And my god, what a date it was.

She couldn't remember the last time she had that much fun with someone. Everything was just perfect. Sure, things got off to a rocky start, what with their awkwardness and all, but after they kissed... everything started going smoothly.

And that kiss, uh... that kiss was something else. She never experienced anything like it before. She kissed many people before, some in real life, some in auditions, some on screen, she even kissed Finn on screen too. But never like that.

That kiss was slow and tender, but passionate and flaming at the same time. She never knew that was possible. All the kisses she had, were all quick and sloppy; never leaving a mark.

But that kiss though, along with the two previous ones she had also shared with Finn, she'll definitely wear on her skin like a tattoo forever. And happily so.

They stayed at that course well after midnight, only arriving home and safely into their beds around 2. She didn't really want to leave that paradise, because that truly was paradise for the two of them, but she had started to grow too cold, given that she just had a short-sleeved shirt on with nothing to, at least, throw over her shoulders, so Finn urged them to go.

When they got home, they put their grass-covered clothes into their laundry baskets, quickly showered and got under the covers so they could properly warm up. They had a quick conversation on the phone before finally falling asleep.

Finn woke up feeling a bit tired. All these nights of either having only a few hours of sleep or not sleeping at all, were really taking a toll on him. But, no matter how exhausted he got, he would never regret spending time with Millie. He would never regret last night.

He had the most amazing time. Especially after he finally let go of his stupid fears and just did what his instincts told him to do. He was really tired of fighting with himself, so he... let go. He let go of the constraints and let his heart rule over his mind and body.

And that was the best thing he ever did.

He took his time, gently kissing her soft, smooth lips. Whenever he kissed her, it was like the whole world suddenly disappeared, leaving just the two of them to enjoy each other fully. And they absolutely did, even after they reluctantly pulled away from one another after quite some time.

They spent the next couple of hours simply talking about everything and anything and gazing at the stars. Every once in a while, their eyes would be drawn to each other, finding their shinning irises far more captivating than the bright stars on the night sky.

Finn felt proud of himself for eventually managing to open himself up to Millie and explain to her the reason behind his behavior throughout the night. He even promised he'd work harder to relax and just do what he feels like doing the next time and, once again promised to himself that he'd try to fight against his fears.

Whatever this thing with Millie was, whatever it was going to become, he wanted to take care of it, take care of her. He loved being with her, around her, he always did, from the moment they met. Something with them just seemed to click.

He never 'just clicked' with anyone else like that. And he definitely never had a date like the one last night, and it was a date, he couldn't deny it even if he tried. It was undoubtedly a date, and one he wished could have lasted forever.
