The shimmering light entering through the window sills slowly brought Millie out of her pleasant dream and into the reality she loved even more at that moment. Her eyelids fluttered open only to be met with the back of Finn's white T-shirt that he loved to wear to bed, a dazed smile emerging on her face right away.

During the night, Finn had somehow managed to turn around to face the back of the couch without kicking her off of it in process. Though, considering how firmly she was clinging onto him, with her arms wrapped tightly around his torso and her legs interlaced with his, there was no chance she would've fallen, not without bringing him along with her at the very least.

Her hands were safely tucked away into Finn's, right near his heart, making it possible for her to feel its continuous, slow and peaceful beating. She couldn't help but nuzzle herself further more into his back, her nose squishing against the soft fabric.

Memories of yesterday came rushing in as her brain started truly waking up. She thought back to how she felt when she saw him live, in front of her for the first time in exactly 30 days, how her heart jumped with joy, how she wanted nothing more than to leap into his arms that very second and never, ever leave.

Every part of her skin still remembered what holding him after so long was like. How his arms felt like a sanctuary she had been deprived of during all those days. How every fiber of her being relaxed in his embrace, forgetting about all the stress and the worry that haunted her tirelessly.

Her lips still tingled as she recalled the sweet taste and the tender feel of his own lips. The scene they had filmed made her realize just how easy it was to forget there were other people around them when they were in their own little bubble. And how there was no longer a line between their characters and the two of them.

There used to be one, she was certain of it. It might have been blurry, but it existed. Now... not so much. And she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing either. It could be good... their acting would appear even more genuine than before, but, on the other hand, hiding their feelings for one another would surely become impossible that way.

It was apparent to her by now that they sucked at it, truly sucked. It was like all their self-control just flew out of the window whenever they were together, no matter who was around. Their friends have definitely noticed something was going on, Shawn already had an inkling and Paige knew exactly what was happening, or well, she thought she knew. All the late night phone calls this previous month had really sparked her imagination.

Her sister spent the entirety of Finn's self-isolating period mocking Millie left and right. She never questioned her about anything regarding the two of them, but she relentlessly teased her whenever she got the chance. Millie was beyond grateful that her mother had postponed her visit for the month of October, because Paige evidently needed more time to get all her jokes out of her system.

Even last night, when she checked her phone whilst she was walking to the trailer after finishing her scene, she had to go through numerous text messages from Paige saying: 'Be careful', 'Use your brain', 'Use protection', or the icing on the make-Millie-blush cake: 'Although your babies would be cute, I don't want to be an aunt yet'.

Millie's mind was swirling with all the assumptions her sister had made about what was to happen between her and Finn that night, that she had to take an extra breath or two before knocking on the trailer-door, making a stupid joke just to try and shake her nerves off. But, the moment she opened that door and saw what Finn had done for her in just half-an-hour, all those thoughts simply vanished.

Her lips spread further more into a dreamy smile as she thought back to the sight of him under those yellow fairy lights. How nervous he appeared as he stood in front of her with his messy, damp, post-shower hair.
