Chapter 9

(Y/N)'s POV
      The next morning, I met with Rantaro on my way to breakfast and walked to the dining hall together. I was talking to Himiko and Tenko when Kiyo can up to us. "I have a way to help you talk to Angie from the dead, if that's what you want." He said. "What are you talking about, degenerate?!" Tenko yelled. "Nyeh. Tenko, not so loud." Himiko said. "Oh sorry Himiko!" Tenko apologized. "There is a we can do that allows us to talk to the dead. I used it to talk to my dear sister once." He said. I think he was smiling underneath his mask. "If it can help us talk to Angie, I'll do it." Himiko said. "If Himiko is in, then so am I!" Tenko said.

      "What about you, (Y/N)?" Kiyo asked. "Sure. How does it work?" I asked. "Well first we need five people and a darkly lit room." I nodded. I found Shuichi and dragged him to the rear of the group. "Shuichi is doing it with us." I said. "Um, doing what?" Shuichi asked. "You're helping us do a seance to talk to Angie." I said. "Um, ok, I guess." He agreed. We all went to the newest floor and into the hall with the empty rooms. "Which one, Himiko?" Kiyo asked the small girl. "Nyeh, let's do the middle room." Himiko said.

      "Let's go to my lab and get the things." Kiyo said after we did the salt. We followed him to his lab and carried the things. We got a white cloth, a cage, and a dog statue. "Now we need a medium. Who will it be? It works best with a girl." Kiyo said. "Nyeh. I'll do it." Himiko said lazily. Angie was Himiko's friend so it made sense she wanted to be it." "No I'll do it." Tenko said. "Nyeh?" "If you we're the medium, you wouldn't be able to talk to her, so I'll be it." Tenko said. "And remember, if you want to cry while talking to her, then cry. It'll help. But getting mad also works!" She said, showing anger. "But if you want to laugh, that works too! But remember to keep your chin up and live life facing forward! Survive with me and everyone!" Tenko said while smiling. "Ok..." Himiko said.

      "I'll see you after the seance!" She said with a big smile. Then she got in the circle and put her head just like how Kiyo told her to. I was getting a bad feeling from this, but I continued to put the cage on top of her with the help of Shuichi. Kiyo put the white cloth on top of the cage. The dog statue was really heavy so everyone helped put it on the white cloth. We carefully went to different corners of the room. And made sure to not step on the salt. "(Y/N), Shuichi, blow out the candles." Kiyo instructed. We listened to him and blew out the candles.

Then we started singing the caged child song. I thought it was kinda creepy, but these things are always creepy. In the middle of the song, I heard a loud sound.

*thunk*

It was weird but I decided to just ignore it for now. When we were done singing, Kiyo called out "Is the caged child Angie Yonaga?" No response. "Is the caged child Angie Yonaga?" Again, no response.

"Is the caged child Angie Yonaga?" He called out, a little frustrated. 'Probably because the seance isn't working.' I thought. "Why isn't it working?" Himiko said, getting a little nervous. "Didn't I tell you not to talk, Himiko? But I don't know. It should've worked." Kiyo said. "Do we light the candles?" I asked. "...Alright." Kiyo said, sighing in disappointment. Then me and Shuichi used the matches that were given to us to light the candles again. "It has to be removed by the same people in the same order." Kiyo said. We all removed the dog statue and Kiyo removed the cloth. "T-Tenko!" Himiko yelled. She ran up to the cage, not caring about anything or anyone else." "Himiko!" Kiyo called out. Himiko used all her strength to lift the cage off of Tenko. "W-What is this?!" Kiyo said.

The sight shocked all of us. These in front of us was Tenko Chabashira, the Ultimate Aikido Master, dead. "Tenko! No! Not you too! You can't leave me too!" Himiko yelled, crying. The body discovery announcement went off and told everyone to meet here. Soon, everyone was in the room. All they saw was Himiko sobbing on Tenko's body. 'Why did it have to be her of all people?' I thought to myself.
