Chapter 4

(Y/N)'s POV
      We went outside and started walking around. "So, (Y/N), what should we talk about?" Rantaro asked. "Um, I'm not really sure." I said, hesitating a little. I wasn't really good at starting conversations. "Ok. Then why don't we play truth or dare? It might be a bit boring but only if the right questions are asked, it could be interesting." Rantaro suggestions. I said he was calm, not that he didn't like the tea. "Sure, why not." I said. "I'll start. Rantaro, truth or dare?" "Truth" He said. "Let's see... Oh! Do you have a crush?" I asked. "Yea, I do. Truth or dare, (Y/N)?" He replied, blushing a little. "Dare!" I said.

"I dare you to kiss me in on the cheek." He said. "What? Why?" I asked, blushing. "Because it's the dare." Rantaro smirked. "Ok, fine." I said. We stopped for a moment so I could do the dare, Rantaro bent down a little because he was taller than me and I kissed his cheek. I was really red. I mean, who wouldn't? I just kissed my crush on his cheek! We continued walking and now we were near the library. Soon it was his turn again. "Truth or dare, (Y/N)?" "Truth." "Who's your crush?" Why did he have to ask this question of all things?! I thought. "Um..." We were walking into the library now. "Wait. Rantaro, do you see that?" I asked. It looked like a bit of blood on the floor and a little on the shelves too.

We walked over and I screamed. There in front of me was the body of Angie Yonaga and next to her was a bloody shot put ball next to her. After I screamed, everyone came running after they heard me. Some longer than others. Kaito, Tenko, Maki, Gonta, and Himiko were the first ones to come. "What's wrong, (Y/N)? Did this degenerate touch you?!" Tenko yelled, the last part mostly at Rantaro. "Angie..." I trailed off. Rantaro continued for me. "Angie is dead." He was still as calm as ever as he pointed to her dead body. "Nyah?" Himiko said. I could tell she was surprised because her eyes widened but she didn't show it much. "W-what!?" Kaito yelled. "Only a degenerate male could commit such a violent crime!" Tenko yelled. Everyone was here now. "Oh my god!" Kaede yelled. "Wait, does that mean that Angie is the mastermind...?" She asked. "Puhuhuhu! You actually think that religious freak was the mastermind?" I heard the voice I knew so well. Monokuma. "Time to investigate! Kids, bring the Monokuma file!" Monokuma yelled.

"What's the Monokuma file?" Shuichi asked. "It's a file to help us with the case. Like the cause of death and stuff. To help us create a fair class trial." Rantaro answered, to my surprise. "How do you know, Rantaro?" I turned my head and asked. "When I was bored, I asked Monokuma what happens if someone kills." He said. The Monocubs appeared and gave us the Monokuma file and we started investigating.

~Time skip to after the class trial~

We just finished the class trial and the blackens was Kaede. Shuichi was the most upset as she was a close friend. We don't blame Kaede though because she just wanted to stop the mastermind. Whoever is making us go through this is sick. We all went to our rooms as it was night already. I laid down on my bed, closed my eyes and sighed. The execution and the sight of her body just hanging there was stuck in my head. Then I heard my door creak open and I thought it was Kokichi so I kept my eyes closed. "You know, you should really make sure you lock your door from now on." I heard a soft voice. My eyes shot open and I sat up. The voice didn't belong to Kokichi. It was Rantaro that opened my door.

"Rantaro! What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised. "I just came to check on you. You seemed pretty out of it when we were walking here." He said. "Oh yea. I'm perfectly fine. We didn't just see our friends dead body and our other friend executed." I said sarcastically. Rantaro entered my room, closed the door and sat next to me. "Listen, (Y/N). We're going to be alright. I'll make sure nothing happens to us." He hugged me and I put my face in his chest and starting crying. "Why is the happening to us?" I said. "Who knows?" Rantaro replied, rubbing his hands in circles on my back, comforting me. Soon, I was out like a light. The next day, I woke up in the clothes I was in yesterday and remembered what happened. Angie and Kaede died. I looked around and then saw a note on my bedside table.

Make sure to lock your door from now on. I locked the door before I left so don't worry

Then I got up out of bed, showered and got dressed. When I was about to open the door, I heard a loud knock. When I opened it, Kokichi was there. "(N/N)-Chan! You're late for breakfast!" He said. "Oh. hey, Ko. I'm late? Also why didn't you come last night?" I asked. "Well, I was about to come but then I saw Rantaro at your door. I wanted to give you two some alone time." When he said the last part, he just winked. I blushed a little and said "We didn't do anything. He was just coming to check up on me." "Sure~!" He said as if he didn't believe me. "Well anyways, let's go." I said.

We went to the dining hall and everyone was there. Shuichi was wearing the uniform that I had made for him, without his hat, surprisingly. With the other outfit, the hat just didn't belong but in this one, he could have worn it if he wanted. Probably because of Kaede. I thought. "Hey, Shuichi! You're not wearing your emo hat! Is it because Kaede died or whatever?" Kokichi asked. Since we were right next to each other, I kicked his leg, to signal to him not to say that. "Ow! Why are you so mean!?" He said while fake crying. "Huh? Oh, I didn't even notice." Kaito said. All the attention turned to Shuichi. "You look handsome without your hat, Shuichi." Kirumi said. "Ah, thanks." Answered Shuichi.

We all ate then it was free time. I hung out with Tsumugi and Shuichi today. With Tsumugi, we talked about anime, made clothes, and she told me a little bit about her past jobs. With Shuichi, we talked about our favorite type of books, and he told me how he made a promise to Kaede that he would end this killing game. When I was eating lunch, Tenko came up to me with Himiko slightly behind her and said "Hey (Y/N)! Wanna hang out with me and Himiko after your done?" "Sure, Tenko! I'd love to." Do when I was done eating, me, Tenko, and Himiko hung out. Tenko taught me and Himiko some Ando Aikido and Himiko taught us some 'magic'. When I went back to my dorm, it was late so I went to bed.
