Chapter 23

(Y/n)'s POV

I woke up to the morning announcemant and got ready for the day. Today or tomorrow will be the last days here, hopefully today.

What I'm planning is saying I'm the mastermind, the rest of the students investigating the whole school for evidence against Tsumugi, we have a trial and vote Tsumugi and get out. I'm making it sound simpler then it really is going be.

As soon as I stepped out of my room, seeing Maki leaving the building. "Good morning, Maki!" I called to her. She didn't even acknowledge me and continued leaving. 'That's weird. I thought we got past the part we can get along with getting mad or ignoring each other. Ugh. Whatever.' I thought and continued walking to the dining hall.

When I got to the dining hall, I only saw Himiko and Shuichi. "Where is everyone else?" I asked. "I don't know. We've been the only ones here for the past 20 minutes." Shuichi answered. "Maybe we should look for them? It weird that they're not here yet." Himiko said.

This suddenly started reminding me a bit of Rantaro's case. "Be careful. Let's not split up since there's only three of us. I don't want anyone to get killed." I said. "Yea." Shuichi said. They both got up from where they were sitting and we all left the dining hall.

(This is the "I lost my partner/one I care for" Squad!)

We decided to start with the outside area and buildings. "Should we check the pool first?" Himiko asked. "Yea, sure. Let's go." I answered.

We started heading towards the girls locker room and when we got in front of it, Shuichi stopped. "I think it's best if I stayed out here..!" Shuichi laughed nervously. "Don't be ridiculous. It's fine if you come inside." I answered. "Yea. It's fine, Shuichi." Himiko agreed with me.

Since he didn't move, I walked up to him, grabbed him by his arm and dragged him inside with Himiko in front of us. No one was In there so we left and checked the boys locker room. Unlike Shuichi, we had no problem entering it.

When we stepped out of the pool area, we heard a sound we never wanted or planned to hear again.

A body has been discovered! Now then, after a certain amount of time, the class trial will begin! You may use this time however you like. Please come to the Exisal Hanger.

We all stepped inside the school to go to the Exisal Hanger but when we got inside, we saw the floor open and a stair case going down. "What is that? Should we go inside?" Himiko questioned. "Not now. We have to see who died." Shuichi replied and we continued on our way.

While we were going, a thought came to me. 'Kokichi always wanted us to have an underground lair.' I thought. I shook my head to get rid of the thought and continued running to the Hanger.

It's obvious that the person who died was either Kiibo, Kaito, Tsumugi, or Maki. I didn't it to be anyone of them but if I had to pick someone that I hoped was dead instead of the others, It's Tsumugi because she's the mastermind of the killing game, Killed Rantaro, Caused Kokichi's and everyone else's deaths. I know that's not true though, since the killing game is still going.

When we got there, we saw Kaito's body laying on the floor with a rope wrapped around his neck. (Kinda like how Miu's body was found)

"K-Kaito!" Shuichi choked out. "Who's dead?" I heard a familiar voice. I turned around and saw Maki looking at me with her arms folded and her usual, cold stare. I couldn't tell her that it was Kaito who was dead so I just look down. I know what it feels like to loose someone I love. "What?" She asked.

When I didn't saw anything, Himiko answered instead. "It was Kaito..." That caused Maki's eyes to widened. "What. If this is a joke, it's not funny." Her eyes hardened into a glare. Me and Himiko moved aside because we were blocking her view. Shuichi was next to Kaito's body, staring in shock.

(We have another member of the "I lost my partner/one I care for" squad!)

Maki ran next to him and I saw her trembling and she clenched her fist. Then Kiibo and Tsumugi came silently. "Oh... Poor Kaito.." Kiibo spoke first. "We have to find whoever did this..!" Tsumugi said, faking being sad.

Maki turned around to face us. She had an angry expression and tears streaming down her face, her fists her still clenched.

"Which ever one of you fuckers killed him, I'll fucking kill you!" She yelled at us. I've never seen her this angry before, not even at Kokichi. All though, it makes sense. Kaito and her were really. close and had obvious feelings for each other.

"Finally, you're all here! I was getting tired of waiting!" Monokuma appeared out of nowhere with the Monokuma file in his hands. He walked up to me and shoved it in my hands. "You better not make this trial boring!" He growled and disappeared again.

Right as I was about to open the file, Maki took it from me and opened it herself. "You're too slow! Hurry up!" She growled at me then looked at it.

When she was done looking at it, she shoved it back into my hands.

The body was found in the Exisal Hanger.

The body was found with a rope wrapped around his neck.

The murder weapon is the rope.

After I was done looking at the Monokuma file, I walked up to Shuichi, who was now crying. Before I could say anything, he sipped the tears off of his face and said "We should start investigating." "Alright." I replied.

I finally got an idea for this chapter! Also, f I don't update for like a week for so, it most likely means I don't have an idea of what to write.
