Chapter 5

(Y/N)'s POV
      When I woke up, I saw a tablet on the table. 'What's this?' I thought. When I turned it on, this is what it said:

(Y/N) (L/N)'s motive video! Or should I say
(Y/N) Ouma? That's right! (Y/N)'s special person that she has to live for is Kokichi Ouma, her twin brother! But that's not all! She has another person here. Rantaro Amami! He sadly forgot her but she still cares about him. And that's still not all! Before they came here, (Y/N) an her brother had a small group who they called D.I.C.E., who really only a small group of pranksters! Let's see what happened to them and where they are now!
     
      As the screen flashed to pictures of each person that was mentioned and then after the D.I.C.E. with me an Kokichi in front, it showed all of them in jail. Anxiety shot through me. I was worried for them. How could I not be? They were like my family.

This group of pranksters fell without their leader and vice leader and ended up in jail! Wanna know what happened? Find out after graduation!
     
      The video ended. I had to know how this happened. But I'm not killing anyone. I wonder if the others got videos like this. They most likely did. This was meant to be a motive to kill. I quickly got ready and went to the dining hall. While we were eating, I brought it up. Hey, guys?" I started. Everyone looked at me. "Did everyone get a motive video?" I asked. "I did, but the one I got wasn't mine." Ryoma said. "Yea, me too." Kaito said. Almost everyone agreed. 'So almost no one got their own motive video? But why? What purpose does that serve?' I thought.

      Then Monokuma and the Monocubs appeared. "Cubs, was this your doing?!" Monokuma said, annoyed. "Ah! Sorry, father!" Monotaro said. "These failures switched the tablets." Monosuke said. "It was Monophanie's job to pass out everyone's tablets!" Monotaro quickly blamed Monophanie. "Wha-?! Don't blame this on me!" Monophanie replied. So we got the wrong video because the Monocubs couldn't do their job right. I'm a little grateful for that. If everyone got their own video, they would have had a reason to kill. I'm still worried for those who got their own tablets though. Soon, Monokuma and his kids left and it was free time.

      I could tell Kokichi wanted to hang out with Shuichi but didn't want to ask, so I Decided to help out a bit. Almost everyone left except Shuichi and Gonta. I walked to Shuichi and said "when your done eating, can you meet me in the courtyard? Thanks!" I ran out the door to find Kokichi without waiting for Shuichi to answer. When I found Kokichi, I said "Ko! Meet me at the courtyard right now. I have to get something!" I ran towards my dorm room to make it look like I was actually going to get something. I waited about ten minutes, then left to see how things were going. I went to the courtyard and hid and I saw that they were talking. 'My plan worked! It wasn't that complicated but still! It could've failed.' I thought to myself.

      "(Y/N)? What are you doing?" I heard Rantaro's voice. "Rantaro! Shh!" I said, whisper yelling and I grabbed his hand and pulled him down so we would be seen by Kokichi and Shuichi. When I grabbed his hand to pull him down, I didn't let go, so now we were holding hands. I pretended like I didn't realize and continued focusing on the boys that we were hiding from. "Why are we hiding?" Rantaro whispered this time. "I want to see how things are going with Kokichi and Shuichi. Let's go." I whispered and we left. "(Y/N), I have something to tell you but we can't let Monokuma hear. Let's go to the girls bathroom. There are no cameras." Rantaro whispered as we walked down the hall.

We made it to the bathroom and I said "Rantaro, why did we need to come here?" I didn't say it too loudly but loud enough for only him to hear. "You know how in the beginning you hugged me and then after you said that you must've gotten the wrong person?" Rantaro said. "Oh, yea. I mistook you for my best friend since childhood." I said. "Well, you got the right person." He said. "Monokuma is making me act like I forgot you and Kokichi. He's holding my sisters hostage and he'll kill them if I act out of line." What he said was shocking. I just hugged him and said "I missed you." He hugged me back and said "it's ok. I'll do my best to make sure no harm comes to you and Kokichi, I promise." When we parted, he continued "But we have to continue acting like I forgot you. Got it?" I nodded.

Right when we left the bathroom, Monokuma appeared and said "what were you both doing in the bathroom?" "I told Rantaro one of the toilets in the girls bathroom wasn't working and he didn't believe me so I had to show him." I lied. Rantaro went along with it and just nodded. "Oh ok! What a relief! I thought you two were getting it on in there!" Monokuma said. 'Ugh! I can't believe this pervy bear!' I thought. I just rolled my eyes and Monokuma left.

      I was now in my room and I was sitting on my bed. I still have some time left. Who should I hang out with? Maybe Tsumugi? Or maybe someone I haven't hung out with yet? Oh, I know! I'll hang out with Kiibo. I left my room and looked for him. (Same FTE as in the game) Once I found him, I said "Hey, Kiibo! Wanna hang out with me?" "Sure, (Y/N). Actually, I was hoping you could describe what it is like to be a teenager. I require many samples so that I can better understand the human teenage experience." He replied. I hung out with Kiibo and helped him understand 'the human teenage experience' better. He also told me about some of his other functions. It was weird but I think I'll want to hang out with him again some other time.

I still had a little more time so I hung out with Tsumugi. We talked about who we shipped with about everyone in our class. I found that she also ships Kokichi and Shuichi, and we even came up with a ship name. Well, we made two. Oumasai and Saiouma. We were trying to figure out who would be top and bottom because Kokichi has the confidence but Shuichi has the height. If Shuichi was confident enough to make a move, then he would definitely be top. We also wanted to have a fashion show because we wanted something to do. We chose the people and made the outfits for them.

It was getting late so I was about to leave, but then she asked a really strange question. She asked "Hey, (Y/N)? What would you do if you were the mastermind and you didn't want to be but you have to or else your family would be killed?" I was really weird. I didn't know how to reply so I said "I'm not sure. I've never really thought about it. Do you think the mastermind doesn't want to be the mastermind but is being forced to or something?" "Maybe. I mean, who would be sick enough to force this on us unless they were forced to do it?" She replied. "Um, I guess. Anyways, I'll go now." So I left and went back to my room.

When Kokichi came after the night announcement, I told him about the fashion show and who we chose. "Me and Tsumugi decided to have a fashion show. We made the clothes already and are holding it tomorrow, right after lunch. The people we chose are Rantaro, Ryoma, Kiyo, Gonta, Kiibo, Kaito, Shuichi and you." I said. "Wait. Why me?" Kokichi asked. "Because we wanted to." I said. We talked a little more and then he left to go to his room and I went to sleep.
