Chapter 26

Shuichi's POV

A/N: This part is what happened while (Y/n) was still asleep until a little bit later

I gasped as my eyes opened wide and I quickly sat up. 'Where am i?' I thought and looked around. Then I saw Kaede sitting in a chair on her phone. It seemed she was the only one in the room. "Kaede?" I asked. She looked up from her phone and ran towards me.

"How are you alive? And where am I?" I asked. Kaede started writing in a notebook. When she was done, she showed me. 'Everyone's still alive! It turns out the entire killing game was in a virtual world! And we're in a hospital.' Is what it said and then she hugged me.

"Why are you writing in a notebook?" I asked. Kaede started writing in the notebook again. 'People who died have side affects. I can't talk because I was hanged.' She said with the notebook. "Oh, I see." I said. Then she started writing again. 'But after some voice training, I'll be able to talk again!' I smiled when I read that. "That's good!" I replied.

Then the door opened and Kaito walked in.

"Kaede! Maki Roll is awake! Oh Sidekick! You're awake too?" I nodded. 'It seems Kaede wasn't lying abut everyone being alive.' I thought. And Miu also entered after Kaito. "Hey Shit heads! Kiibo is awake as well!" She said.

I moved my legs off of the bed. "I want to see them." I said. "Hey sidekick! You can't do that! You have to stay in bed for the mean time!" Kaito stopped me. "Why? I feel fine." I replied. "Umm." Kaito seemed to not know how to respond.

Kaede started writing in her notebook and showed Kaito. 'Get the nurse, Kaito! See if he can move around!' Kaede commanded through her notebook. "Yea right!" He said and ran out of the room. "So Poo-ichi is awake as well?" Miu asked and walked closer. "You can see that I am, can't you...?" I asked.  "HEEE!!! D-Don't get all pissed!" Miu stammered. "But, I'm not..." I said. Did it sound like I was?

Then Kaito came back with a nurse. She checked out the machines first and asked me a few questions. "Does it hurt when you move?" She asked. "No." I replied. "Do you feel sick?" "No." "Does it hurt when you talk?" "No."

"I see. You're free to walk around but not for too long. When visiting hours are over, please return to your room." She said after she finished checking me. "Yes ma'am." I said. Then she left the room.

"See? I'm perfectly fine." I said. 'We were just worried Shuichi.' Kaede wrote. I nodded. "Well, let's go! Maki Roll is waiting!" Kaito said. "Kiibo went to the cafeteria because everyone else is there." Miu said. "Oh really? I didn't notice. Maki Roll is also in the cafeteria." Kaito said.

"What about (Y/n)?" I asked. I would say I'm close with (Y/n). She helped me, along with Kaito, with Kaede's death. And of course, I regretted telling Kokichi he was alone and always would be, but (Y/n) brought to my attention just how much Kokichi is mistreated by everyone else. She also risked her own safety to trick Tsumugi for everyone else. And she was so nice, like making me some new clothes.

Miu and Kaito stayed silent. Then Kaito spoke. "We're not sure. I've been staying with Maki Roll, Kaede has been staying with you and Miu has been staying with Kiibo. Rantaro decided to stay with (Y/n)." He said. "I see. Then I think I'll go visit her first." I replied.

'I'll show you where her room is!' Kaede showed me what she wrote. "Fine. Me and this Idiot will wait at the cafeteria!" Miu said as her grabbed Kaito and dragged him out before he got a chance to say anything but I heard him from the hall. "How many more times will you all call me an idiot?!"

'Well, let's go!' Kaede wrote and then opened the door for me. I walked out. "Thanks, Kaede." I said. Then she led the way down the hall. We stopped at a door that said 'Patients: (Y/n) Ouma, Kokichi Ouma'.
